Every year, I ask my wife of 35 years to listen and dance with me, to this song. Now, I'm 70, in the last season of my life. It moves me now more than ever. I am so happy that she and I are still dancing together.

She did, cried, and as we listened together, we both knew it was perfect. I am happy to say 22 years later when it comes on our playlist we still dance! What a beautiful song... He was my 1st love from 1971& we just reunited July 2019. He was my beautiful soulmate. I was with him every step of the way. We thought we had Atleast a year & a half together . I agree they were overlooked many times! You only have to know their story to see that they were immensely talented! All four Gibb brothers had a God given talent and not only singers but Barry in particular has written hundred of great songs!

Thank you for letting me comment. When I was about 7, there was a song on the radio that my father loved and told me to listen to. I have been hooked ever since. Through the years I collected over 50 of their albums. Love them dearly. The song that hooked me ? I Started A Joke. Thank you Barry, Robin and Maurice. And thank you Hugh and Barbra for giving the world such great talent.

Still Waters is my favorite Bee Gees album, and it was released exactly 3 days after my birth.

When this glorious song came out, in 1997, I wore out the cassette, playing it over and over. I had to replace it. Then CD's came out and I had to replace it again. I really love this song.

Hard to believe this man has been happily married for more than 50 years. God bless you Barry.

Robin always wanted his voice to sound perfect which makes sense I guess because it was a fine instrument. Barry was real rock and roll even if he had a sore throat he would deliver no miming live on tv if he did it was very very rare! The three of them together is magic vocally. The contrast between Barry and Robin when they swap lead is unmatched anywhere in any form of music.

When they did ONO at the MGM Grand, Barry had been ill and was still sick.on the night of the concert. That is why he was sweating so much. It is amazing that he did such an epic performance while being ill. It just shows his true professionalism and vocal talent.

I grew up listening to this album, Still Waters. Papa used to play this CD while he was driving. This song really makes me trip, reminds me of some distant relatives of mine, living inside their former home and, once English's not my "mother language", when I was a child I did not understand neither lyrics nor title, so all that entered in my heart was the tune, and it produced memories in me that have nothing to do with the lyrics. This is the power of music! It can affect you in many aspects that it has been originally purposed to do.

I am 72 and have just rediscovered them! Music and words are so beautiful and of course, their voices. Some silly fools recently put videos on KZread that Barry had dies. Thankfully my son found out the scham and told me. Since then I listen over and over and have just ordered one of their CD’s again, after getting Barry’s Greenfields ❤😊

@@kylieadkins3108 Thanks for your reply! I live in New Zealand but first 30 years in Switzerland. I’ve just been thinking the Bee Gees song go under your skin, they are romantic, and melodious. Much better than the Beatles or Rolling Stones noise making! I have Chronc fatigue and last 2 years chronic pain. I always put them on when i cook lunch to distract me from the pain. But I also watch their videos. Did you see the interview with Barry and Pierce Morgan? I know some hate Pierce but that interview was lovely, epsecially how Barry kept looking and lastly singing for his wife Linda, so sweet!

I can't think of one single song of theirs that I don't like, I enjoy them all. Have you seen the video when they were recording "Too Much Heaven", I could listen to it over & over. Barrys voice on that one & to watch him singing it is phenomenal. I live in the USA & my Mother also suffers from chronic pain. She really has a hard time with it. She's who first got me listening to the Bee Gees, she's 69! We listen to a lot of music together. Hopefully, we'll have many more years to listen together. I know you enjoy them as much as we do, just by reading your comment!!

Barry Gibb is the only one of the Bee Gees who is still alive. I went to his website last year and saw that he doesn't ever want to tour again.

I heard it for the first time in the Keppel Road documentary and thought "Why have I never heard this before? It's stunning". Such a great song. Bands like the Bee Gees won't be seen again. This song is one of their best and should be played more. It's hard to pick just one number one song as they wrote so many great songs. @@marychessari, thank you. They were the best band, weren't they? Nobody could - or will - harmonise like the Bee Gees. They had a unique family sound that will never be duplicated. And of course, Andy was a great talent too. Heck, I was only eight when we lost Maurice and yet, the Bee Gees (and Andy for that matter too) have had such an impact on my music taste. That's saying something about their talent - for them to touch someone's life who wasn't even around when they were at their peak. Pure genius in every way.

@@marychessari, amazing isn't a word that can do the Bee Gees justice. They were sheer musical geniuses and when they sang, they sounded like no-one but themselves. The Gibbs' music will stand the test of time. Many people see them for Saturday Night Fever - which is classic of course - but many great songs of theirs are before and after that time and this is a great example of their post SNF success. And of course, a great example of their pre SNF success is Words. If someone is a Bee Gees fan, no explanation is necessary. If they're not, no explanation is possible. They truly were the best band in every way. Long live the Gibb Brothers' music.

I was 36 😉 when this beautiful man passed away, and his younger brother was also a Gibb genius like all of them. They are Legends still with Barry to live long. Beside that they we're down to earth and with great humor, they had a gift, that stormed love to music. For me the most talented musicians in the past 5 decades. Don't matter if they had sometimes a quiet phase, the art of being Profis is... Like the BG's) to keep going on and staying within the time of generations. I adore the BEE GEES! @@marychessari, thank you very much and thanks for loving the Gibb Brothers' music as I do. They were amazing in every way. Yes, Andy was a genius in his own right. People shouldn't focus on Andy's troubles and say he did nothing. He clearly did something right. Not everything in Andy's career was handed to him on a plate. People should check out his pre fame stuff before he was really big. There was so much more to Andy than his troubles and him being the Bee Gees' younger brother. You've got great taste in music Mary. I'm sure Maurice, Andy and Robin are looking down smiling knowing that they've impacted people's lives with their music. Barry is one humble guy too.

Bee gees são a maior banda de todos os tempos e fizeram escola. O KLB sempre foi fã deles , até imitam suas vozes , e trouxe versões deles pro Brasil. Isso pra mim é positivo, mostra que eles conquistam gerações diferentes em todo mundo.
