Polymer Clay Cane Packing | Polymer Clay Techniques
Last week, I should y'all how to create some whimsical bumble bee canes. This week, i'm showing you the cane packing process. I thought it might be helpful to have this in a separate video that way it doesn't have to be too rushed and I can really explain what i'm doing for you guys!
Cane packing is a great skill to learn for you canes so you can allow your canes to be reducible and more easily cut with a blade. Translucent clay is a great choice for cane packing since you can stack multiple slices together on a translucent background and overlay that over another veneer to create a seamless translucent veneer. I'll have to demonstrate how this works visually in my future videos, so stay in tune for that! Of course, you can also use any other colored clay as the packing clay of your choosing in place of the translucent instead if you prefer that!
Let's start creating and making things together!

Hi Sukanche! Could I ask if you are having trouble with the cane packing process or just reduction in general? If it's cane packing, I released a recent video that shows a technique that may simplify the cane packing process a bit by cutting up slabs of clay: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aWeGtLSxdKeWqso.html
