@@ted__ryan Just because he didn't take the dog doesn't make him a coward. He might be a busy older man who can't take care of a dog. I prefer him to give the dog up rather than keeping him and then throwing him back on the street once the cameras are gone.

It's so sad that the man isn't able to look after the dog properly. He was so sad when hr had to say bye.

I would adopt him in a heartbeat! He's so loyal and follows him everywhere even when a human abused him..this is true love from dogs. I love dogs and cats so much more than humans! If you can send him to USA..i will adopt him.

Esta bien que si el hombre no puede cuidarlo haya contactado con los rescatistas de Kritter Club. Tal vez el hombre es pobre y no pueda afrontar los gastos para cuidar al perrito. La culpa la tiene el /la que lo abandono en medio de nada. Ser un animal de raza no garantiza que lo traten bien. Such a gentle kind dog... He didnt try to bite even though human was about to touch the wound...

Some of the comments are harsh. Did you finish the video? Grandpa was crying while he was telling the crew he won’t be able to give the best care for him and that is self-awareness and admirable. Also, have you seen a lot of videos here where dogs suddenly became orphans because their owners suddenly died from old age and diseases? I think grandpa was also considering that fact. It is possible that he’d just get rehomed in a few years time because grandpa is old and would be too old to take care of his needs and in my opinion, he saved him from another pain/heartache.

Heartbreaking. The man who helped him recover is an absolute legend. Shame he couldn't adopt him as you could see the bond they had. I would love to know how this dog is doing now. It's my Bedlington terriers 4th birthday today and he's spoilt rotten. Love every little bone in these dogs they are extremely special.
