Yeah as much as Ill admit that I still watch NC......that was a justifiable blow. After the whole CA mess happened (along with the release of that pdf) my stance on the whole thing is sort off reflective of Tony's argument at the end of his recent "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride" review. Both sides have just as many valid arguments as they do Invalid. Even though I found some of the claims highly questionable, im not gonna act like their was no solid evidence of wrong doing by the Walkers or any other of the higher ups. In the end everyone justifiably left the site and has since moved on (with the occasional jabs made here and there, just like in this video). I know my opinion might not be popular but thats just how I see things.

NGL, Portebello Road was my favorite song watching this as a kiddo. I'd list out all the different dancers and figure out how I'd manage my own version of the performance. (Should've known then I'd have the most fun behind the camera.) & isn't it fascinating the whimsical Disney movie acknowledged British troops of Color long before any serious war movies did?

To answer why Miss Price didn’t continue being a witch, the Nazis blew up part of her house which destroyed her equipment and all her written spells. She also had short term memory loss which explains why she kept needing to pull out her booklet. She did that just to remember the rabbit spell which she said many times; she tried once without the booklet but couldn’t remember the words. And the book all the spells came from, the Spells of Astaroth was left with the Bookman. I guess with the Substitutiary Locomotion spell the kids may have remembered but even with that she took her time remembering the words.

the term "soccer" is actually a corruption of the sport's actual name "Association Football". the shortening came because of sister sport "Rugby Football" shorting it's name to Rugby, and the round ball crowd wanting something short and snappy as well. The brits used Football and Soccer interchangeably until fairly recently. And for the record, the name is drawn from the fact the game was played on foot instead of on horseback. the other versions (such as Rugby, Aussie Rules and the twin Gridiron codes of American and Canadian) have just as much right to the name.

I was going to say that the complete lack of background music and muting the footage was a bit jarring...and then I realised that youtube would probably immediately strike the video for copyright, so you're probably much safer doing it this way. Good stuff!

The picture book seems a little less contrived if one views the mansion being owned by members of occult order/cult that is based on the writings of Astaroth. So, it not a leap to think said order/cult published a picture book for the members children. Actually the biggest contrivance is the unexploded bomb because the British tended to not let those lay around. Specially trained bomb squads usually deactivated and dismantled UXBs in matter of hours, especially in that type of neighborhood. They just didn’t hung a warning sign and legged it.

The gender of the ghostbusters remake cast doesn’t matter at all. If the main cast were men, then the plot would still be rushed, the effects would still look awful, and the cameos would still feel forced, to the point that I wondered if Dan Aykroid had a gun pressed against the back of his head while recording the line “I ain’t afraid of no ghosts”

Emily Clark well, I don’t like movies that portray the sexist idea, that a female business owner would be so blinded by her attraction, that she’d hire a guy who covers his eyes when a noise hurts his ears!

  • @Galvion1980

@@AJSSPACEPLACE Why is it sexist to suggest that some women would behave the same as some men? Many male film directors and producers have cast leading ladies based not on acting chops but because they wanted to bang the lady in question. I think it's sexist to assume that all women are perfect paragons of virtue untainted by ego and hornyness and would never sink to that level...The director's cut of Ghostbusters 2016 is far more watchable, by the way...

Oooooh, this is a long story...basically a document was released about a year ago that listed a WHOLE lot of claims of mistreatment and harassment by former Channel Awesome members. The site REALLY didn't help matters with their responses to these complaints and accusations. Most contributors have left the site as a result, and the whole scenario has left a bad taste in the mouths of former members AND fans alike. There are those who don't buy into it, of course, hence why the Nostalgia Critic is still going strong. I'm personally not one of them, but I recommend you look up info on the #ChangetheChannel movement and draw your own conclusions.
