all of those 00s movies were fun but very movie like. super unreal,over the edge, stuff what would never happen.
Playing multiple characters with different personalities isn't easy at all and Brendan nailed each one of them.

At the second cinema market, that movie is so popular to the point that Public TV Broadcast that movie almost every Saturday they called it " Al diablo con el Diablo", The movie makes some Royalties now days... also Elizabeth Hurley is in that movie, She created a lot of porn troupes. Trust me Hollywood cares more for what is great for Chinese and Mexicans... Specially because Cinépolis a Mexican chain is the second largest cinema in the world, but anyways too much information to someone that discovered that the US is no the center or the Capitalism.

The accent and that little hand gesture while he goes 'no gracias, soy alergico a los crustaceos' is spot on. He even laughs at how good he thinks he is. Top-notch actor. He was the shit in the late 90's early 2000's I don't know what happened but somehow he fell from grace about 10 years ago or so. Hope he makes a comeback

He was groped by a top hollywood bloke, which broke his confidence, his wife divorced him, making him pay 75 k a year for alimony and support, all those stunts he did caused damage in his body, his knee gave up, his back broke, and his throat got wacked, bills piled up. He got high blood pressure, added to his knee injury, he can't do heavy lifting and exercises. He got fatter and fatter after that, so he decided to take a leave to sort himself out. After calling out the gay dude who groped him, hollywood shunned him.

as spanish speaker, this scene its quite more funny... by 2000 i was at highschool here in Argentina, and the Brendan Fraser's "un momento estoy hablando espaniouol" was iconic among my school mates. This movie was/is a true masterpiece

@@bmx7596 I can answer that, it was bad even when he said the phrases phonetically. His accent is really bad. They could have made that better but maybe it was difficult for him to pronounce words in Spanish.

This movie is great. Brendan played very different roles, he speaks spanish, he cries over the sunset, he is a tough basketball player, a handsome and brillant writer, even Abraham Lincoln, and a big looser. In The Mummy movies he is completely different. A kind of Indiana Jones, an alpha male. That´s a true actor.

This movie reminds me of dreaming, doesn't matter how good it is there's always something fishy or you wake up during the good part.
The part where he just starts saying random phrases in Spanish, he just keeps getting better and better in his pronunciation, up to the shellfish phrase, where he speaks perfect Spanish, he actually sounds like a voice actor, damn!

First time I was watching this movie I thought that the rest of the movie would be about him as this new drug lord character and my interest dropped a lot. But then he went back to the true reality, I realized the movie structure and loved it!
I loved when he exclaimed 'you turned me into a drug dealer!'
I'm Colombian and this is more like a Spaniard character, However, is a master piece, I love how he is acting and the comedy implied

Sooo Spanish .... If a Colombian breaks out in anger, I am Peruvian and we DO NOT drink wine like that... EXCEPT FOR THE CORRIDAS when the Acho Fair takes place in october/november. The public there tries to act as old Spanish as possible 🤣, so THAT includes drinking in the XVIIIth or XIXth centuries fashion 🤣

The ironic part about the opening song here is that it's about a man begging his wife not to leave him and saying that he loves her kind of some foreshadowing for what's going on and what's going to happen
Such an amazing talent. I miss his work...
Brendan Fraser is so underrated as an actor. He can do Anything!
