Like in this video, “you were there”, meaning you weren’t there. I agree that it feels right to us, but none of us are in the position to declare it an authentic portrayal. I just love that all the actors portraying Jews, look Middle Eastern, instead of European (other than the Ethiopian Jews, of course).. And, Dallas makes sure the story richly depicts 1st Century Jewish life and culture. Oh, yeah, and this project is another way of bringing the Gospel to more people!

So I am just seeing this now, and I’m loving this project. Thank you for sharing your talents and praying while you are acting as Jesus. I appreciate the coming together of various actors, producers and writers that have unified to create such a wonderful representation of the time of Jesus. Making him humanly divine is so important and you have done that so beautifully, praise God! I especially LOVE how you and Dallas both went together to the Vatican and it was great to see an evangelical and a Catholic discuss various ways followers of Jesus worship Him. I also am Catholic and have a deep devotion to Divine Mercy. I thank you from the bottom of my heart that your working on this project. I am praying for you in this, for the Lord to continue blessing you with such great talent. God bless you!!

I agree with you Jonathan. I doubt that Jesus cared if his hair matched the fashion of the day. Hair grows so fast, that if you are trying to keep it a certain length to match a particular style, you have to be cutting your hair frequently. Can you imagine Jesus going to the local barber shop (or whatever they had in those days), to get his hair cut? He wouldn’t have cared about that.

It's funny though! 😂 Jesus in local Barber shop. But occasionally he might be going there. He lived as a common man. If he didn't his town people wouldn't say isn't he the son of Joseph and Mary 😂.But rather this kid is always off to doing strange things. Maybe during his ministry 3 years he didn't cared about his hair or appearance. Just got by whatever Father provided him.😏So might have grown hairs.

Yes long as it was,Jesus was a Nazerine wasn't it supposed to be long,maybe ,maybe not but I still like it long .Either way the show is the best,pretty much watch every single day . Love it that much

@@arielleofgod333there’s a difference between Nazarene and Nazarite. Nazarene just means He was from Nazareth. A Nazarite took a holy vow-they never cut their hair at all and they abstained from wine, are two of the requirements, and neither of those apply to Jesus.

I didn't realize that I would love this show as much as I do. I believe Dallas made the right choice with the hair. One of the things I love is that Jesus is so 'normal' in so many ways. I never cared for the portrayal of Jesus with the long hair and white clothes where he looks so different and stood out from everyone else because of his appearance. I love your portrayal of His compassion and 'human-ess'. "He had no stately form or majesty to attract us, no beauty that we should desire Him." - Isaiah 53:2b

Well I think that, and without being strictly speaking, both John the Baptist and Jesus really were Nazarites in essence. So they could also have very long hair to distinguish themselves in that purpose... It's just a personal thought... Without being "labeled" or consecrated by their families in that sense, But in their hearts they did have a genuine consecration before God, separated from all worldly pleasures (the tangible thing of being a Nazarite). ❤ God bless The Chosen family!
