Spirit Song Please cite your sources and where you got that research. According to: jockeyclub.com/default.asp?section=Advocacy&area=10 In 2017, the injury/deth rate for Race Horses were LESS than 1.61% (In 2017) This means that it is almost EXTREMELY rare for there to be a serious injury. Rules are becoming stricter in the Racing Industry, meaning it’s safer for horses. Now I do not agree with the fact that they’re racing fillies and colts, because they’re still developing, but the Racing Industry IS not all in fact bad. Look from both perspectives. Each discipline has pros and cons. Everyone always lookd at the cons first and then begins to assume. Unfortunately in many countries though, horses are sent off to the slaughter when they’re not considered “valuable”. But that is slowly changing. And the killing of horses and meat production in the horse industry is now completely illegal in the U.S. which is a good sign.

I believe budweiser sells the horses that don't make the grade to homes they have personally approved and received references for. The cost for a Clydesdale from budweiser depends on the age and training level of the horse has attained; the average price is $5,000 for a 4 year old. Budweiser work with the horse community to find homes for the horses that didn't make the cut. So it might be a good idea emailing them and putting in an application form. It's very likely to take a while (a horse's gestation period is 11 months). However, if you are interested, start the process now, there's a better chance of being accepted and more time to fix any issues that maybe found at any home check.

I have been a horse person all my life, and these horses are treated well. The only thing is that they clip their tails. It's very important not to do that to a horse because they have to swat flies during the summer and they need their tail to keep the flies from biting them. It's also a cruel thing to do because they not only cut the hair but also the bone skin and muscle of the tail. Please do not clip your horse's tail. They have it for a reason and they need it

@FruityVeggieHead

bridget wilkins yes, they all do. Budweiser Clydesdales are extremely valuable even if they don't meet the "standard". This is because they are bred so well, they're healthy and strong for a very long time and generally have very good training personalities. Also, it's pretty rare for one of their Clydesdales to not bred true to standard. They only bred about 30 every year, so even if half of those weren't standard or able to be bred, that's not a ton to try to find good homes for

These horses are very amazing and are awesome. These animals get treated better then I do and probably 90% of the population in America. The sad part about all of this is because of simple greed these horses have to be locked up in a trailer all year long traveling across the country so humans can look at them and bring money into Budweiser, something just don’t seem right with that. Basically using animals that should be free to profit from. Yes I’m sure these animals are treated better then any wild animal but that’s not the point. The point is that these poor animals can’t Rome the land of they wanted too they have to be stuck either working or training while a rich greedy asshole gets richer from these beautiful animals. Completely ridiculous!

Tamara jade I've seen what a clydesdale looks like with an UNDOCKED tail and a DOCKED tail very big difference adult Clydesdales have very long flowey tails but when they are docked it's short like the ones in this video
@alexie8325 жыл бұрын
"They docked their tail! Animal cruelty!" There are other ways to shorten the tail without cutting it off. They clip the hair or turn the hair into a bun. Besides, these horses were bred to pull wagon. Letting your hair grow long and then getting your hair tangled in the harness or wheels is more crueler than having your hair shortened. The thought of getting your hair tangled in machinery gives me the chills. "They need that tail to swat flies! Animal cruelty!" These horses are too special to be bothered by flies. They could've used ACs during the summer where the temperature is comfortable for the horses but deadly for the flies. Besides, isn't killing flies animal cruelty? Hmm? "They need the tails to communicate! Animal cruelty!" It's not JUST the tail they use to communicate. They can use their body, ears, and sounds to communicate. It's no different from a human who lost their hearing, sight, limb movement, or voice. Horses can communicate in different ways, not just one.

Hi
i wonder what happens to the ones that dont make the cut .-. i hope they find good homes if they dont make it to be a Budweiser Clydesdale

bridget wilkins yes, they all do.

I've heard other Clydesdale breeders love to be able to have a Budweiser Clyde because they have such good bloodlines. They command high prices.

Why breed so many to get one and sell the rest. I bit like breeding dogs when there are so many to adopt.
That guy bangs horses
Прекрасная порода. Прекрасная реклама.
get em a MICHELOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
was one born on September 18th
*Is Budweiser STILL selling their rejects and older horses to Kill Pens ~ like the ones in Louisiana and Pennsylvania? ~ are they still mutilating the bones of horses through tail-docking ~ Warm Springs Farm is a 300 acre **#HorseMill** where Budweiser's continued breeding of **#Clydesdales** ~ results in the sale of horses who do not look like the above or outlive the company’s view of their 'usefulness'. Those on-going sales have to date, been to slaughterhouses* #JeffKnapper #AnheuserBusch

TOM PIPPS . FOAM - BATON ROUGE LOUISIANA USA . HI HELLO &

Too bad They got rid of the Clydesdales. And replaced them with sterile Clydesgailes.

Tamara jade I've seen what a clydesdale looks like with an UNDOCKED tail and a DOCKED tail very big difference adult Clydesdales have very long flowey tails but when they are docked it's short like the ones in this video
Horses can communicate in different ways, not just one.

immadomenow These horses actually love working. They were bred to do it and like dogs they will miss behave and find their own work if we dont give it to them. That includes wrecking things.
