I would say Trish and Lita got farther than any female from start to finish. Look where they start from. Trish storyline with Vince and Lita storyline with Kane. What they gone thru help all females wrestlers. Other females wrestlers don’t have to put up the BS of what those 2 had to go thru.

The explanation for that much time away is long. Becky was considered a child prodigy because she was having great success on the indies and in Japan and was really good considering the state of woman's wrestling at the time and only being 19 years old. Becky decided when she was 18 or 19 that she wanted to get to WWE by the time she was 20, but the company was still very much in the Divas era at the time and looking for 20-21 year old, young, blond, beautiful, models which Becky wasn't. She was a headstrong, brunette, rebel, who was very much a tomboy. In order to do try and achieve her goal of getting to WWE she convinced her mom to let her keep wrestling all over the world and go to college in another year (which she had no intention of actually doing) because she had dropped out of college to wrestle. Becky also started body building to make herself more physically appealing but got anorexia and destroyed her body, making herself so skinny that she had no muscle or fat to protect herself with, and every hit she took was extremely painful. She was also traveling the world on her own, on a visa because she was from Ireland, and taking side jobs to have enough money to eat and sleeping on friends floors and couches. So she didn't have the best quality of life at the time, but most wrestlers on the indie circuit deal with the same circumstances cause they don't make much money. All that led to a match she wrestled in Germany against a rookie female wrestler. The match wasn't going well and the small crowd they were performing for started chanting "woman's wrestling" in a derogatory manner. In frustration Becky called an audible and went to suplex her opponent over her head, but the girl was scared and held on, and she ended up landing right on Becky's head and giving her cranial nerve damage. The injury was bad and the doctor insisted Becky stop wrestling for a little while but she was probably good to go again in a couple months because she made a full recovery. The thing that kept Becky from wrestling wasn't so much the physical injury but the mental injuries. After this match, which was her last for seven years, Becky's visa ran out so she had to go back home to Ireland and her mom was pissed when she saw her daughter with this serious head injury. Becky was already getting super depressed from the anorexia and not getting anywhere close to WWE. She got lost, she got confused, she lost her sense of identity, and she decided it was time to stop chasing dreams and join the real world and do what her mom and society expected her to do. Those seven years were miserable for her but she burned bridges and canceled bookings after Germany so she didn't know if she could go back (she could cause nobody really cared that much) and was really just too scared to face the business she loved so much and abandoned. Eventually, her friends pushed her enough and the stunt work gave her the motivation to get a WWE tryout and go back. But she's really got a heartbreaking story of overcoming so many obstacles in life and those seven years away ended up giving her such an appreciation for the business that she wouldn't have had otherwise. Becky signed with WWE in 2013 and from then to present day, she has never taken more then 3 weeks off from work excluding the 15 months of maternity leave from May 2020 to August 2021. She's talked about this stuff in a bunch of interviews which is why I know it. If you want to hear some of them I could give you links.

You have no clue about hoe nerve damage works... 7 years or even more unfortunately is not uncommon to recover from nerve damage. Especially when doctors say its permanent and you spend years trying to find a treatment. Edge retired in 2011 from a previous neck injury but what made him really retire was that his nerves were being damaged that would leave him crippled if he continued. After almost 10 years he came back thats how long it took for him to recover from his nerve damage.

Of course she was a stoner, she took her entire first look from Mad Maxx fury roads Bride with the orange hair and the goggles 🥽
