Whether it's a work or not, there are a lot of truths in what Becky said in this interview. Both Charlotte and Becky are giving interviews, Charlotte keeps on talking about "people will know who is the best in the business, there will be no debate after Survivor Series"....her awful "uh-oooohhh" segment is about her puting Becky in her place. Meanwhile, Becky is just talking about what happened between them. And she seem very genuine. Charlotte did flip off the crowd when they were chanting "we want Becky!" "We want Becky!" During the title exchange, the crowd was chanting "Becky Two-Belts!" "Becky Two-Belts!" Charlotte did drop the belt. When Becky left, the crowd was chanting "Becky!" "Becky!" Sasha looked at Charlotte and smiled- "are you jealous, Charlotte?" She obviously was jealous then, as she is jealous now. And there is a good reason why Charlotte is jealous of Becky Lynch.... ...Look at their salaries... Becky has a guaranteed $250K a year. Charlotte's guarantee is more than double that at $550K a year. But look at the top 10 highest paid men and women personalities of WWE, there were only 2 women in the top 10 highest paid wrestlers on 2020....one is Stephanie McMahon, she was paid $2M. And the other is Becky Lynch, she was paid $3.1M...Charlotte has the bigger guaranteed salary, at 550k, than Becky's 250K, but Charlotte was only paid $1.1M in 2020. That is because wrestlers get, in addition to the guaranteed baseline pay, they get a portion from merchandise sales. Becky's popularity eclipses Charlotte by a wide margin. It's not even close. That's why despite having a lower guaranteed annual salary, Becky out-earns Charlotte significantly, 3x more than the "Queen".

Ah the old stereotypical go-to take yet again being made to look like it's some factual statement about "jealousy" on Charlotte's part. lol Don't know why you sad Lynch marks always try to play these silly little games when it got old so long ago. Charlotte flipped off the crowd because it was her first match in front of an audience in more than a year and yet that same day Lynch snapped a pic in front of the curtain at Gorilla to troll the fans and bring the attention to herself. She had literally nothing to do with Charlotte's match with Rhea, yet she tried to make it about herself. Can't imagine why Charlotte was unhappy about the chants in her 1st match back in front of a crowd. Noone wanted to do the title swap segment and Charlotte made it clear it made her look bad way before they went out there, and it did since she was the only one in it who was scripted to get nothing out of it, nothing to do with the crowd chants. Charlotte never tears her opponents down in interviews, even when she acts more like herself she always speaks about the storyline on TV from the perspective of her character, she rarely goes into the creative process or what happens behind the scenes. Becky is also in character here and the fact that she "seems genuine" to you means she's doing her job, because if she was "telling truths" about Charlotte, you really think WWE would let her do that publicly? When wrestlers have "attitude problems", the company keeps it close to the vest, years ago when Randy Orton was infamous for having issues like that, did you see John Cena go out and publicly bash him for being "unprofessional" in interviews? No. Becky knew exactly what she was going to be asked and how she was going to answer, Helwani himself says she's "doing a great job promoting the match", a match where the only intrigue is "Will they start shooting on each other". But it's good to see you think she's speaking "truths" that oh so conveniently happen to fit your personal narrative of Charlotte though. lol Their salaries shouldn't be your concern, let alone to try to use them in some pathetic attempt to paint your personal take on Charlotte as "truth" lol. It's sad. And here's the kicker, this actually surprised me because of how embarrassing it is, you're trying to do the same thing that Becky's husband did back when he tried to pull the "my bank account" card on Will Ospreay after he got owned by him on twitter. But "jealousy", right? lol What a joke.

Clearly a work. They'd never have her publicly shoot on Charlotte if everything she was saying about her was true. WWE usually keeps those things close to the vest because they're scared of bad press. Charlotte is one of the company's top representatives, if she really had this kind of attitude issues they'd never try to bring more attention to it, let alone send another top star to publicly trash her for it. Look at someone like Randy Orton, he's infamous for having tons of attitude issues in the past, yet they never had John Cena or anyone else back then go and publicly bash him for being unprofessional. The only thing real about this situation with Charlotte and Becky was their initial backstage confrontation after the title swap segment. Everything else is a work.

Literally after the match, Becky cried about how they truly hate each other-

So I wasn't wrong. She really was in "The Man" character on that final promo on Raw (the last Raw before Survivor Series), then she went to "Big Time Becks" when Liv appeared , even she went to a higher pitch while saying "No, no, no...". What a professional is Becky.

This interview was great. Well done Ariel. I will say that I disagree with his take on bringing both brands together on Raw and Smackdown. Keeping them separated gives more wrestlers a chance to have their shine without seeing the same top stars on each show every week. Monday Night Raw has their wrestlers and Smackdown has their wrestlers.

Definitely agree that the brand split allows more people to be featured. Really hate that they didn't continue on with establishing NXT as the third brand. There are SOOO many wrestlers under contract with WWE that NXT positioning themselves as the third (and cooler brand to be a part of) brand would have only added value. Not a fan of the NXT direction anymore.

Ariel describe what got him back in wrestling. I stopped following in 2002. Becky Lynch, through my dislike if Ronda Rousey, got me back into wrestling. One day I was like, "Oh yeah, Ronda joined the WWE, I wonder hw she is doing. I go to youtube, and see a video by WhatCulture Wrestling call 5 reason why the fans hate Ronda Rousey. 3 of the 5 reasons involved Becky Lynch.

Cool interview, but it's so obvious why wrestling struggles to get stories and characters over now that the workers commonly do kayfabe breaking interviews talking about changes of character, angles and how they want to be booked whilst things are actually playing out on TV. ....Makes it too hard to suspend your sense of disbelief when you switch on come Monday night when the guys and girls are just like "Meh; I'm just playing a character".

lol tons of pro wrestling fans commenting about how butthurt the mma fans are.... I dont give a F I acn skip the segment, but it is just kinda wierd. I know Ariel is a fanboy of the steroid gymnastics, but if all it takes to get on his show is being a physical entertainer, and being "tough", why doesnt he bring on cheerleaders as well, maybe some stuntmen, gymnasts.... the list could get long. The "tough women" hour.

Difference with pro wrestling and all those other stuff is WWE simulates fighting, which is why it's very related to MMA. The buildups and the faceoffs and the Heroes vs villains, it's very similar. It would also be appropriate to interview someone like Halle Berry who just directed and starred in an MMA film. Even though it's not MMA proper, it's closely related. Nothing to be too pissed off by

Simular to mma would be karate, jiu jitsu, judo, sambo, amateur wrestling, boxing, tae kwon do or the ton of other martial arts out there, why pick acting ahead of those. Also you pick the actor OVER mma fighters, there is a long list of actual mma fighters, desperate to get on a show like that, and maybe attract a sponsor. My favorite danish fighter, is a former cage warriors champ and current Belator fighter (soren bak) and he doesn´t get to be on the show, but the acting girl does?

He really doesn't digress too much and puts more eyes on MMA by dipping into other relevant areas. There would be many Becky fans (or Halle or whatever) that might become MMA fans just from this exposure. It's a good thing in my eyes. There are many other outlets (big ones too) that are strict MMA you can try as well, he's not the be all and end all
