So sorry that you don't know ANYTHING about what happened!.. Here's the truth: The Biologist at the Nat. Zoo, DC, where he was born & raised, was going to pick up the Cub for his growth check-up. However, there was a mix-up on the doors, & she didn't expect the Adult Mother Panda to be right around the corner at the same time!!.. As these zookeepers also work with many large U.S. Bears and Big Cats that will Attack any person who is in the same space to protect their young, the zookeeper looked alarmed when she heard the mother bear lumbering in her direction!!.. But, Mei Xiang only comforted her cub immediately, who saw the keeper's surprise. The zoo rules don't allow for keepers to be in the same space with Adult Pandas, for Safety. But, everything was fine!!.. Mei Xiang has loved & trusted that keeper for many years, but baby Xiao Qi Ji didn't know what was happening?! (only a few months old). Also, keepers had to wear big Masks during the pandemic for health reasons, so that was startling for him, too!.. In fact, the zoo was Closed to the public for pandemic precautions (They get about 2 Million Visitors a year, normally!), so Xiao Qi Ji was not so familiar with people yet?!... His Biological Panda Mother had nursed & reared him, 100% naturally & successfully, since Birth!.. You should see the rest of the video where the keeper exited quickly & the mother swooped up her baby to assure him all was well!!- 😍🐼.. That's the Truth!!-💓

Sorry, you misunderstood. Xiao Qi Ji was not unhappy in his former home. He did not hide in a little corner. He was and is very precious to everyone in that home just as he is here in China. Watch his videos and you will see a happy and well loved and cared for bear boy.

it is so crazy they keep saying that from one short clip when Qi Ji hid from his nanny at SMZ! Qi Ji has always been playful! only if they knew how much Qi Ji and his family was loved and is still loved dearly ..
