Because I could not stop for Death by Emily Dickinson | Poetry Analysis
In this video, I offer a fresh, alternative perspective on what's probably one of the most famous poems of all time. One of the most striking observations that we might make about Dickinson's poem is that death isn’t portrayed as a scary thing, contrary to the usual way most people would think about dying. Instead, ‘Death’ is personified as a kind, patient gentleman, who takes the speaker and her companions on a leisurely ride - but towards where, we’re not sure. The final line reads "towards Eternity", but just where does 'Eternity' begin and end? And what does the 'House' in Stanza 5 symbolise?

hii i've been using your videos since spring 2023 (when i sat my gcses) and thanks to you and other youtubers (like mr salles, stacey raey) i was able to get a 9 in my eng lit exam!! I am now studying eng lit at a level but there unfortunately are not as many resources available. Would it be possible for you to include analysis on the handmaid's tale (it is a fascinating novel to me)
