Bebop lick Tutorial #1 Licks starting on the Root

Музыка

Sometimes as teachers we corner our students,
this means that we try to get them to elicit new ideas from what they have already been taught. We want them to try what’s new . So we push them to leave their comfort zone which helps them to grow and learn more.
In this series of videos Jazzduets will start phrases off all the different notes of the scale,
the root, 3rd, 5th, b7, 9th, 4th, #4, b3, b9, #5 and b9

I know a few of these bebop licks. I like that you offer them in all 12 keys. Good to practice using cycle of 5ths. Another good presentation Nick. I like that you are speaking to us directly into the camera. However, your animated videos are also excellent. BTW.... Your material has really opened up my playing and stirred my imagination. Thanks for sharing your approach to music.

I own a bunch of lick books; I find yours the most lyrical. Thanks for getting a trumpet player on board; that's even more inspiring, since that's my instrument. You're the man, Nick.
