I was thinking the same thing. I like that not every line has to perfectly rhyme and lyrics are very authentic while still relatable. Very talented woman 🙇‍♂️

+Jeanne D'Arc The problem was, when Hey Mama came out, I think many (me included) mistook her for Rihanna based on the voice alone. It didn't help that she wasn't in the video, too. If she got her shit together back then, she wouldn't need to be 'asking' for credibility so much now. Not that anything's over but she did put an unnecessary hurdle in front of herself.
