Barrio Driven, this interview of the homie Young Beavz took me down memory lane. I moved to NS Bolen when I was 2 years old and moved to Fontana when I was gonna be 16. Came back to BP back and forth afterwards many of times to hang with old childhood friends and to party. Sometimes I’d run into some of my old friends that got into NS and I’d hang tough with them. When Beaver says “we’re a small Varrio”, he’s exactly right, because the north side of town has an old small town feel to it. There’s no major department stores like Target, Costco or Walmart on that side of town. So when he said that he hit the nail on the head. When Beaver is at Linda’s with Minor there. They mentioned my very good childhood friend(who is now resting in peace) and someone I considered a solid homeboy, Juan Gasca aka Frenos. Frenos lost his life in late 2003 and he’s missed to this very day, he lived on Olive St. and I lived 2 blocks away on Anada. Hearing them mention Frenos brought back a lot of memories no doubt. Frenos would be about the same age as Beavz right now or just a bit older. I’m 45 now and still have very fond memories of living in the NS of Baldwin Park. I attended Margaret Heath Elementary, went to Holland Jr High formerly known as Landis Jr High and I attended Baldwin Park High for my first 2 years of high school. From 2 years old all the way until after high school I met and kick it with many of Beaver’s homies from NS that I’m sure he more than likely knows . I’m not gonna drop names because that isn’t me and second because this comment is long enough already lol! Saludos Beaver! Awesome interview bro, even though I don’t know you personally, but we grew up in the same neck of the woods. Wish you great success with your comedy and thanks for sharing this genuine story with many others. 👊🏼💯

@@BigggA608 yes I remember both those crews, in fact I was from and kicked it with Confusion during its last couple of years 98-2000. Confusion, we all used to chill on Demblon St, just behind Estella St. where all the dudes from NS chilled. The Instigators were around a little bit before Confusion and they had a few members that got into NS. And before those crews, there was a few “Boys” crew/posses that if you’re not old enough you won’t remember. I was from the LPP Boys. That was around from like 92-96 and you also had the Bleecker Boys, who were around from like 90-93 and from the mid to late 80’s there was the Marion Boys and the Block Boys. All those I mentioned were kinda like minor league team affiliated to NS. Everyone from those either knew dudes from the neighborhood or were related to someone.

“Those who are able to see beyond the shadows and lies of their culture will never be understood, let alone believed, by the masses.” Plato... I respect you to the fullest Beaver! Being in Juvenile Hall before, and doing time at a young age, I've heard of stories of black men holding down young boys and making them do unspeakable things! Some types will not know how to be humane, so they are the ones who rape and become predators, it's hard to accept that this is a part of human nature but that is why these places are built! To contain the monster within these individuals. To understand their nature, we have to understand human behavior and there are never two people a like, we are all unique! Those predators will not stop, that is why they laugh because they are animals, and not humans like us! Be strong Beaver, your a human being that I will always respect because your correct your not wrong, the people who enable, and glorify this lifestyle, are wrong!

To Vince Romo: your interviews are fascinating and the guests that you put on have some incredible stories man. However i would like you to take into consideration the fact that sometimes in these interviews you're getting in the way of the story by cutting off your guests and repeating their words. The homies can talk for hours about what theyve been through, so I would just let them talk about their life Vince. I understand there is a time limit and in my opinion that should be the only time when the host should jump in and steer the conversation to another topic. I hope you can improve your channel based on these observations Vince. I really want this channel to thrive and I believe it will. Saludos

What about the situations you cannot control, like genetics, and the choices others make? I've learned as a father, no matter how well you do your best, your children will do what they want, even if this affects you and your choices, even if it hurts you as a human being. We as parents are not always going to be in control of what our children do, let alone anyone else, and even after we die off, and life goes on, they will need to figure things out all by themself anyways, so as long as we keep doing our best, then we have nothing to feel guilty about because everything I do in habit, is for the cause of them, their future and their wellbeing because I make myself better for them! I've always knew at a young age what didn't seem right, and it is what makes me who I am now, as a father, son, and human being! Until we are able to see the lies within our culture, we will always be subjected to the environment we choose to surround ourselves by. No one is perfect, and the more damaged you are the more easily your emotional state will be manipulated, it is best to be skeptical of everything, remain tough, because words are just words, and actions reveal truth, and the truth is what everyone should go by! Look at peoples actions, not what they say! Always take responsibility of the wrong you do, or forever be a person who does wrong!

That double spanking is real my parents would do that all the time too. Mucho respecto to both of you Vince and Beaver. Dysfunctional Home Growing up in one of those. Always feeling all alone. Putting on a fake smile, just running along. No one knew what was really going on. Waking up another day, Not knowing if you got what it takes. Longing to be loved or to be left alone Who knows. Everyone makes mistakes. It’s made you who you are today. Be content, and learn from those days. Keep working and looking straight. Always keep a strong head. Better days are ahead.

No one in his family will believe it’s abusive . That’s what I’m dealing with now my dad would sock us up and kick us couple times my mom would step in like a referee lmao but I was a bad kid when I was in elementary middle school so I also take it as I deserved it . But now I’m like dam i wouldn’t dare hit my daughter like that so now I’m like wtf thinking if it was ok or not. DAM beavs I feel you on the drinking part also .
