Beaver Dive Rod
We caught a small male beaver in a foot hold trap on a dive rod. We also got a muskrat in a body trap, but didn't get a picture of it. All this happened under a beautiful sunset.

They work well. We stick the far end in the bottom of the creek. The trap is attached with a slide lock. The near end is staked with rebar and tied off with a cable extension just to be sure. Once the beaver dives to get away, it passes quickly.
