The lesson: if you don’t have a horror story, you’re probably someone else’s horror story

Elle BC A villain who is totally unaware of their villainy? I’d watch that Disney movie! *Castle being destroyed by magic blasts* Hero: You’ll never get away with this, Villain! Villain: I know I can’t move an entire castle myself, silly! That’s why I’m deconstructing it first! OR for horror Last girl: I won’t let you burn the sorority! We’re going to survive! Slasher: That’s the spirit! Don’t let anyone burn your friends. Trolls can be *so* cruel. *starts spilling gasoline around the house*

Yes, but still if they sent you an approved dress and your roommate told you not to wear it and your in an environment where there's a competition it was kind of naive of her to listen to the roommate instead of the people that are trying to make her win ¿Right? (Still the roommate was a bad competitor and I hope she's grown from that childish behavior)
You should do doctors sharing horror stories or fathers or students. The point is that we need more of this because it is great

CaffineBro well I’m a high school student and this is my most awkward horror story: every year my school takes the entire school on a picnic, last year we went to some hills and there was a weird canal of water there too.we set up our thing on top of the highest hill and after 6-7 hours we decided to go back home so we packed and started to go down the hill I was holding most of the stuff so my basket was so heavy. While I tried to cross the canal I fell soooo bad into the canal in front of the entire school and apparently it wasn’t a river it was dirty water 😭 so there I was in the middle of nowhere socking wet in front of everybody and my stuff all over the place 😂

Because it was a picnic. And her roommate told her it was super casual. I’d have done the same thing if i was new to pageants and I was unfamiliar with them. But her roommate taking an hour to get dressed and hogging the bathroom should have been a warning though.
@Amy_Nicole_Sabas
4 жыл бұрын
exactly. i felt bad for her all the way up until she said there was an approved outfit by the pageant director. come on -- even if you're new to something, that should be a no-brainer. the pageant director is not going to approve an outfit that doesn't fit the dress code.

Well, it’s a competition, and that just proves she doesn’t have the leadership skills and sense yet to win. She probably learned and did better last time. I did super well in my first pageant too without training, it’s just about common sense and knowing when someone is sabotaging you.
Your roommate totally set you up and was laughing at your naïvity. Never, *EVER* trust your 'friends' at a competition.

When I competed internationally, when they would give us “smart casual” as a dress code, if your outfit doesn’t have a sequin; you’re under dressed.
How horrific is it that the judges and the public pick a girl that shows that shes so great, but you dont actually know how she is backstage!! You could be picking the most horrible human Being in the contest

In bigger pageants (Miss Universe, Miss World for example), the organizations often hire so many supervisors to manage the girls. If one contestant misbehaves, it is often reported and she will be unplaced.
@SusanaDownes

Trung Duong yep! At Miss Earth, we have team managers who relay back behaviour of the candidates to the organisation. There were so many girls who were crowd favourites that didn’t make it as finalists because of their behaviour.

Pratyusha Pilla And you slaaaaaaaaayed.
This was a local town pageant and it was my first. I had a very dedicated dad who would do anything for me. We we're told walking in "make sure you know where your shoes are at all times. Some girls like to take one shoe". So scared for that I had my dad hold them while he's in back waiting for me to come off stage. I continue to do the set and I realise my dad is the only dad/ parent holding 3 pairs of shoes. She made me and my dad paranoid. Luckily we made it to the regionals however we know now she did that to throw me off.
I had a pageant roommate try to sneak her boyfriend into our room at the Miss Teen NY pageant which is very strictly forbidden. She ended getting kicked out of the pageant entirely because she caused some other issues as well but I was 1st runner up so all’s well that ends well.
I once wanted to join a pageant but bathing suits and chest hair don't match...
I'll come back once the comments are better

princesayoleasa i was just thinking this 😂
Omg I’m so happy she got crowned even though her dress messed up 😭 I’m from VA
I had a friend into beauty pageants, and guess what happened in her last pageant at age 16? She was the runner-up for a state one, and she actually started dating one of the first people who lost, a body builder who was stunning. The two got hitched, and have a dog now and a beautiful little boy.
y'all should make a video about Wal-Mart horror stories 😂😂
I’ve been in the pageant “community” since 2nd grade and it’s not nearly as crazy as you think it is. A few moms are a bit Psycho but everyone is really nice. Worst things that happened was a girl tried to tell everyone what place they were gonna get obviously she said she would get crowned division queen and the sad thing is she did.
That second story reminded me of Drop Dead Gorgeous
3:05 girl you seriously had to consult from one of the staff The director is right.....pageants are like kind of games though
I honestly love the second girl... she’s such a mood 😂
I remember when she won miss Roanoke valley, I was actually there
This is how many people knew them when they were the Boldly ⬇️
Danielle has great delivery. She looks like Olivia Culpo to me, but it’s probably the hair.
In the wise words of Gina Linetti: “DANCE, DANCE, DAAAANCE!!”
Maybe it's true when even if things are falling apart around you(literally). Just keep your cool, there's power and beauty in that.😄
More pageant horror storys!! 🧡🙏
Very convenient video, Buzzfeed, considering I _just_ applied for Miss DC USA yesterday.
I LUV THESE VIDSSS
The reason she won is because she decided to persevere even after her entire outfit fell apart and i think that’s great tbh

who else loves these videos!!
Omg the Indiana lady lives in my area and I did the same pageant
7:51 Honestly if a mishap happens stopping to fix things makes it look worse than if you keep going. I remember I lost a shoe at marching band practice one year cuz I was wearing slides. I kept going through my sets on the wet field with one shoe until they stopped us, then grabbed it lol
I use to LOVE pageants when I was smaller I think I started doing it when I was 7 or 8 years old.I went to a Tray pageant, if you don’t know what a tray pageant is it’s like a pageant that you dress casual for.In the tray pageant I was in, I wore ruffle leggings with a shirt that I’m not sure if it was sleeveless or not but I wore a yellow necklace and I remember that I wore a fur vest thing with a smoky-ish eye makeup. In this pageant you have to tell a lister person your hobbies, what you do in your free time, your fav toy, etc. EVERYONE that competed against me had the words,” I love to ride in the tractor.” I live in a Southern state wear that’s very like “ClAssIc” to the judges. And everyone had the brand Matilda Jane on and no makeup whatsoever maybe lipgloss. If you don’t know what Matilda Jane is you can look it up. I wasn’t wearing Matilda Jane because I was being more original and making my own outfit not a set.I got pretty much last place.I did my hair and everything while the other girls curled their hair and maybe just put a headband.I don’t do pageants anymore because of this because sometimes it depends on the judges and who’s parent is who and politics. It truly isn’t fair and it made me feel like I have had a jealousy problem when really it was realistic for someone to think that.(This is my dads acc bc I can’t have my own I’m a girl so I know how it feels, have a great day!)
Wherever you are in life, just continue to dance. You've got this.
Things like this is a valuable lesson for everyone everywhere to be very picky before you help anyone. Take a long time before you trust anyone even a little bit and before you help them.
Please provide captions for future videos.
Watching this after finishing insatiable series ....
I’ve been in a pageant twice Both times was in the hospital about 3 days prior I think that maybe they’re not for me
Ahhh a local! Hey hey from Roanoke!
Omg i love this channel!

Omg Ashna was in Dhar Man's videos
Keep calm and dance on
Ashna had been in dhar mann s videos .. i love him and she is so beautiful
You don’t need a crown to be queen 👑 But if you like doing pageants, keep doing your thing! 💓 Gosh, I wouldn’t win😂 Cuz I can’t walk in heels, But I still love myself! 💕 And that love is real! Believe in yourself, you can get what you want! 😘 Whatever you got, don’t be afraid to flaunt! 😁
As a dancer, I can confirm that Bollywood girl absolutely did the right thing! The first rule of any performance art is that *everything* you do onstage is intentional. Scarf falls off? Novelty costume choice. Shoe comes undone? It's so you can see my feet better. Smile, improv, convince them you meant to do that. So when you make a mistake you absolutely _cannot_ stop, or run off, and you _must_ perform to the end. I know keeping a smile on whilst internally keyboard smashing in panic must have been difficult-- kudos for getting through and for your win!!
And that’s on Patty Bladdel
Why didn’t the first girl just change quickly?
So you know the first girl, isn't she an actor for Dhar Mann?

Not telling newer contestants stuff should actually disqualify you from participating. It shouldn't be a backstabbing contest and when it is things get awful really fast.
Throw in some jewllery when you don't have time to finish your makeup...
I have so many pageant horror stories...
That never happened to me before
I had a beach photoshoot and one girl told me my hair was getting too frizzy/thick from the humidity. Then she said ‘here, I’ll fix it’ and she dunked my head into the water.. lol

4:11 I'm a Purchase Alumni. How 'bout that.
U could of brought a second dress and shoe and bring extra makeup and some hair stuff and went to the bathroom and change when u got to the place to picnic
came for funny stories, stayed for the Desi representation :’) you go brown queen!
Where do i know that first girl from??!?@?!
This makeup mirror story is everyone's worst nightmare in any competition. But also, the competition kind of set up situations that could lead to confrontation. The role of looks and aesthetic presentation in these competitions has always been out of proportion and controversial and it's the one area where time and resources are never really equal at the outset. Create more unexpected tension than already there about how long people have to get ready and you could be throwing lots of people under the bus. The malicious contestant should have been thrown out. But ,as with the picnic situation, people have all tried so hard-- Maybe these women have hurt themselves so many times to play this kind of zero-sum game already that rationalize hurting each other. Things like a picnic that's really just for the pictures or organizers making access to makeup mirrors more difficult plays into inherent tensions. I'd have imagined some people would practically sleep at their makeup mirrors, when beauty and upkeep has these kinds of stakes.
I won a pagent in my kindergarten (around 2012) during the talent section, i forgot my lines. I somehow won 1st place though
My jaw dropped when she said she’s from Roanoke Valley... ME TOO
kind of
Me realising I would probably do good in pageant events cause I overdress for everything
Me listening to this like bedtime stories
I am 6 pageant winner and i still dont know how it happened.( 3 national 2 local and 1 international)
Am I the only one who is addicted to this channel??
Something I learned from pageants is casual is always dressed up so formal is full glitz Lol.
