Beauty of the Bulb - Mandelbulb 3D Fractal Tour (8k)
Ойын-сауық
The Mandelbulb 3D fractal in all its glory! Presented in stunning 8k!
Still a few glitches, I'm not really sure how I am going to resolve that yet. Otherwise, I think the quality is pretty awesome. You can really see some of the detail in this one as simple lighting came out really nice. I said I wasn't going to make another 8k one, but I'm simply getting better results. It seems rendering in 8k with lower samples, yields a better and smoother 4k image.

Imagine something this massive and complex, floating somewhere in the darkness of space. Imagine flying a ship into a wormhole, and then you're greeted with this thing. Fully lit by an unseen star.

This would immediately cause some chaos involving the infinitesimal due to the infinite detail of it. Like this idea though

Your Mandelbulbs get more beautiful with each rendering. This is breathtaking! Not just the bulb itself but also the tour through it.

Thank you.
Actually, the glitched areas came as a breath of fresh air. I really liked the movement, it kinda radiated life, viewed from my perspective.

Oooooh my. This has me digging out the phone goggles for vr/cardboard. Ty!!!! What a ride, and the little bump was fun.
Like these 3d fractals videos, wish they were longer, 12-20 minutes would have me in another world

incredible level of detail. now if only each individual piece was spinning, moving, writhing, throbbing... then it's a real trip
Absolutely mind-blowing. I could have stayed there for hours.

Really nice! Great 3D effects 👏
This one has taken a new turn. Nice work.
Your 3D fractals are my favorite, looks like traveling through space dust!👍
The incredible beauty of complex mathematical functions 😃 Good choice of colours and music as well (imo)! 🙂🎵
Absolutely Incredible!
Wow-what a beautiful piece of geometry and art I loved it. And a like is already given by me.
like flying across the bizzare landscape of a far distant planet!
Interesting to see some rendering / display artifacts. They actually add some "life" to the fractal!
Бесконечные бесконечности. И представьте что все мультивселеные это самое маленькое есть такие величины которые мы никогда не познаем. И это просто безумие!!!
Bulbilicious (and the glitches are pretty minimal to be honest) need to shift it into 1080 as youtube is defaulting to 720 across the board and it looks rough and lurchy!
Now this is a great one.
beautiful.
Why does this make my skin crawl
Holy shit, you must have an incredible pc to render this shit out at 8k with all that dirty geometry.
Congratulations on this magnificent beauty! It's (too) rare, on your channel, to view videos of fractals where the viewer walks to the right, to the left, above, inside, below, etc.. This creates an interesting and attractive diversity for us, the spectators. So it's much more captivating than all the fractal videos based solely on ZOOM effects, which becomes very boring. I hope you understand what I mean. Take inspiration from Julius Horsthuis who knows how to explore fractals, not just with a zoom effect...! Thank you and again with my congratulations. Pierrot
Much Love
Wonderful. I don’t even want to think about how long it took to render
Merci !
They didn't have cakes like this when I was growing up. Looks too good to be true.
awesome!
this is how the Universe looks like from the outside!
You must have one hell of a souped up computer to render this video! I'm still working with an i5-3570k for my 3d fractal renders
Wow! I wonder how these would look like if they were animated somehow? I think my mind would love the organized chaos :D

Are you thinking on working on any deep fractal zooms? If so, I would like to know what fractal the zoom takes place at.

How do you import such large objects into blender? is it procedural? what method are you using to contain such a large and highly detailed objects? Mandelbulber V2? I would like to try this on my new system. Also I need to figure out how to properly shade them.
When I see these mathematicaI worlds, I always think: One of the fundamental parts of the universe is decrypted.
I use Mandlebulb3d to create similar animations that take Weeks to render at this quality, could you give some information of what aspect of blender is used to create these within as I have never seen it done inside blender directly like this. Absolutely stunning quality. Cheers pal. Ps I have a 5950x and hopefully a reasonable graphics card coming soon so would love to try using blender to do this.

It is Octane for blender, not pure Blender.

It must be proprietary, but could you show an edited version of code used to create this video or at least how many lines of code it took? The result is utterly incredible.

Actually my code is very minimal, just the formula for the Mandelbulb. I used Octane Renderer with Blender as the host. Octane has a feature called Vectron which is good for fractals. The renderer does all the heavy lifting.

@@MathsTown Thanks. Whatever and however you're achieving this, it's plowing new ground. Exciting.
This is just the very simple complex code iterated over and over (plus lighting and rendering in 3D), right? No additional "artistic" modifications, right? Does this fractal contain "smooth" surfaces in reality too (like near those vertical slots), or does it look smooth just because of limited computational depth?
This is dank
Do you guys sell these? It would be cool for my desk if it’s less than $20 /s
I want to play a fractal zoom space shooter. You think you can get a deal with a game developer?
How do you render these fractals with blender? Is it volume rendering or just a mesh?, this one is amazing.

I think I missed some detail, could you zoom in more?
Hello. I wanted to consult why when extracting the 3d model, the mesh in obj, it comes out with very low resolution and almost no detail when zoomed in. I would appreciate a video on how to extract a 3d model in good quality. Greetings

i dont know if its the field of view or zoom or the general stretchedout nature of the bulb but this video feels really awful to watch to me, despite how beautiful the visuals on the screen are.

Interesting comment, if you, or anyone else, could help me understand I would be interested to improve the production. I can't change the shape of the bulb, it is what it is, unless I use another fractal. However, there are some conceptual difficulties with the camera when creating these. Firstly, details inside the bulb are much much smaller than when we start, so the speed of the camera needs to change. A real camera would also have a depth of field blur. Also, the camera motion also needs to change speed when things get smaller. So perhaps it just feels unnatural somehow. Regarding FOV, I use a "50mm" camera which should have a natural perspective, although I might try something wider in another video.
Why ain’t it starting?
