That is a good point, that is why the foundation of choice for me, I use the clio kill cushion foundation that has spf50+ so hopefully whatever that gets rubbed off fr the foundation application is replaced with the foundation with spf protection. It's not as good as not wearing foundation but some people can't go without foundation.

That's a good test, but Would be nice to see the reapplication with the spray on sunscreen over makeup on the uv camera to prove your point that is effective protection. One recent discovery is that putting a tinted sunscreen over BofJ in place of foundation may be an option too. BofJ never pills with any of my finicky sunscreen or skincare, it's really is a great one to use with everything.

I have noticed one minor concern with this approach. According to Labmuffin, it is not recommended to layer different sunscreens on top of each other as they may interact negatively due to the varying formulations (sunscreen actives). Considering this advice, I would suggest refraining from using the sunscreen spray over the existing sunscreen application.

Yes, in some cases, you would be right, but now brands like "naked sundays" and "ultra violette" make a top-up spray that can be used on top of their products 😊😊

also I've seen many videos showing spray sunscreens having terribly uneven applications, I feel like they're a waste of money. Considering you waste large portions of product while spraying

Thank you. This what I was looking for. Can you make a video showing tinted sunscreen over regular? Some people use tinted sunscreen as makeup instead of foundation, but I heard it doesn't protect as well.

I love this BOJ sunscreen. I am happy to find out that it can last up pretty well up to 6 h after 1st application. I usually add a makeup base which also had sunscreen and then a bb cream which also has at least a 30 spf protection (all Korean brands). So I hope this way of applying makeup compensates for the sunscreen which can be lost during the application of the makeup process. 😅

@@PharmacyMakeup When the BOJ sunscreen is wearing off over time what exactly is happening? Is it that the sunscreen ingredients are slipping off your skin? Or is it that they are still on your skin but they are becoming less and less effective (and therefore filtering less and less UV rays)? And when UV protection is reduced after applying makeup with a sponge on top of the sunscreen, is it that the sponge is removing the sunscreen from skin or is it that the makeup ingredients are "diluting" or effecting the sunscreen ingredients?

OMG I just tried the same sunscreen on my UV light Camera and it does not work at all. My face is not dark at all like yours. I can't see any difference. I think I ordered a fake one on Amazon :(

I dont know if this is only happening with me, but ever since I've been using the boj sunscreen, my face has become 2x lighter even though it's 40+ celsius in my country daily. I've never been so light before ( I'm a south asian with usually a medium light skin tone, but now I'm a light), does it contain bleach?

I believe it doesn't contain bleach, but there's niacinamide which has skin brightening properties

Maybe you stopped tanning due to the spf protection

You’re supposed to let the sunscreen sit for 15-20 mins on the face before applying foundation. Idk how long she waited but that’s a factor in why it looked lighter

You can't really trust that you can see if the sun protection remains for many hours unfortunately, have tested many times, so stick to applying according to the recommendations on your sunscreens 😉 if you want sunscreen that lasts a long time, I recommend p20, Evy and numbuzin - No.1. Kind regards, a sunny man from the Nordics.

Can you test other sunscreens with this mirror?

I use an IT Cosmetics skin tint with spf 40 on top of the Joseon. I feel like I get good coverage. I haven’t tested it of course.

Can you mix sunscreen with spf? Cause spf spray doesn’t cover well you must use your hand to really homogenize into your skin

The Garnier spray is an Octocrylene sunscreen, which doesn't have the best reputation. Is there a similar product that you know of that isn't Octocrylene-based?

I’ve never heard that. I am pretty sure Octycrylene is very good; Octinoxate is the bad one.

@@Lulu-kt6gr It may promote the production of free radicals, penetrates the skin easily (at levels about 14 times the FDA cutoff for systemic exposure), has a lot of reported skin reactions and is a potential hormone disruptor (though this is based on older studies). None of this may be a problem in concentrations under 10%, but manufacturers are rarely transparent about the exact concentrations in their product. There are just far better options for UV filters out there.

I think the main issue was the wet sponge...
