Renovated but bare bones. No appliances, lighting fixtures, etc. A house with that price should be completely turnkey.

Not sure if it’s already been commented on, but the feature that Fernando was describing was a “thermal bridge”. Very popular in Portugal, and making sure that the system that you plump for has it, is highly recommended. Costs a little more but has great value. 🇵🇹❤

so much better than the orange house for350k,, shame the heating system missing in this one. You ask a good set of standard questions and it would be nice if you made the map of the plot part of the standard things you show. so we can see the plots and houses in the boundaries (the neighbors). i really like when you show nice places near th property to swim or eat. makesthe day dreaming easier 😀 thank you. everyday i fll closer finding the one. with your sittation i a more and more convinced now i need to buy a house ready to move in, or i will have to have some extre money coming in for remodeling

Just when Portugal begins to slip my mind, you go and drop a beautiful property. Drat you NICK!!! hehehehe. Btw...The halves of separation in the aluminum doors is a thermal break. Does a remarkable job of preventing heat transfer in the winter and summer! Question...The water mine/tank...Is that part of the property? Can the tank be filled from it or is that just a flow through area? Thank you so much for showing us all these beautiful properties and for all the work you put into this part of your channel.

The water mine and tank is a community one so everyone can use it. There would be no need to use it as the bore hole is free and plentiful (if you got a bump connected to some solar panels). How can Portugal slip your mind? Yesterday we smam in lake Cabril, surrounded by Portuguese families and the water was 25°c and the air was 28°c and as I swam across the deep waters I thought to myself 'this is truly paradise' ♥️🇵🇹

My wife is finally hinting she might be willing to get a passport. Her family roots are in Italy. I'm, not so subtly, hinting a few weeks in Portugal with a swing through Italy might be a nice vacation. We are currently recovering from a 6,000 mile drive through the desert south west, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Valley of the Gods and Arches National Park. I just need to convince her to retire. Looks like a beautifully done remodel, except for a few issues. The realtor said that the ceiling in the garage area was left unfinished in case the buyer opted to install central heating. Well, since there is no heat source in place, obviously something has to be done. Central heating ducts could easily be run up to that first floor. But what about the upper floor with all those bedrooms? Won’t walls on the first floor need some partial tearing out and rebuilding to accommodate ducts up to that top floor? Or would the ducts be attached to the walls of the first floor and covered somehow? Either way, some of those beautiful perfect walls are going to be disrupted. Seems like the heating system should have been installed during the remodel process, not afterward. And those shower pans in the bathrooms-even with a shower curtain or glass enclosure, water is going to run all over the floors. Road noise was also an obvious problem while the doors and windows were open. The house looks finished, but it’s not. The buyer still has tasks to complete. But at least most of the hard part is done, and the pluses outweigh the remaining challenges.

I agree completely with all you've said, however, heating systems in Portugal are rare, I know this is odd but just the way it is.

Why would someone renovate a house like that then make that kind shower that put me off right away that’s why want to renovate myself

Pretty big.

This is the type of property which doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Kitchen has been done on the cheap. Not a single bath in the house (family homes should always have a bath). None of the showers have screens or proper risers - one of the showers is directly behind a door and looks incredibly narrow so, installing a screen might be problematic. No skirting in bathrooms. Bathrooms don't appear to have tiles on the wall - likely panels so, not marble or tile. No heating installed, no fireplaces.. No direct access to the 'garden'' from the back of the house. No bbq/kitchen area at the back (highly unusual for a Portuguese home). Noisy traffic.

Is the tiled room above the kitchen? It would make a great second kitchen. So much potential. Shame the rd is so close but that is still amazing value. I'm much happier looking at the finished houses. They seem such better value for money. 😊. Keep up the great videos Nick

They consume far more water than a shower, and most people also want to wash quickly, rather than lie for a long time in a bath. The trend when renovating bathrooms is to install a shower, without a bathtub.

Are there any before and after pictures to have an idea ? What is the age of the house?

Seemed to have the most traffic of any video of yours I have seen. What time of day was this? I should point out that, although I think I could afford this lovely property, I am too old - so sadly it will never happen... Just dreaming.

Could I get some contact info please as to how to go about moving there and purchasing property? Also, when they mention house size, does that include or exclude garage space?

wonderful house with a very nice big living area downstairs. I am not a fan of the great amount of concrete around the house. And it misses a nice mature garden to sit and relax in.

Most Portuguese people don't love gardens or trees. It´s a pitty, because we would have a nicer country if people just planted some nice trees and flowers next to their houses. We love concrete though.

Best to go out there & take a look for yourself. Look for hand made for sale signs & speak to owner directly. Channels like this are generally for non-Portuguese property hunters and the prices are not a true representation of local market values.
