This hotel consists of three towers. The first one you'll see in this video is the main tower. The second one is the international tower and that will be in a separate video. The third tower is the radius tower and only guests can access that tower. Unfortunately, I am not a guest at this hotel, so therefore I will not be able to get a take on the radius tower elevators. The main tower consists of five glass elevators. One of them goes up to the Polaris Restaurant and it ONLY goes between there and the lobby level, no more no less. In this video, I will be getting a ride in all the five elevator cars, INCLUDING the one that goes all the way up to the restaurant, and a HUGE thank you to the hotel employees for allowing me to take a ride on this particular elevator car at least. After noticing that the guest floors are keycarded, I then asked the front desk employee if she can lend me a key card. Then she tells me that the elevators are only for guests between 9pm and 5am. (Note: It's not the same person I asked if I can ride the restaurant elevators). I didn't really notice the fine print next to the keycard reader that the guest floors require a key card between those times. Phew! Totally glad that these aren't completely keycarded off, unlike what happened at the you-know-what recently. Still, I decided to hitch a ride with some guests on the regular elevators since I'm only staying in Atlanta for a night. Also in the middle of the video, I will be pushing all the lower level floor buttons (LL3, LL2, and LL1) so you can hear what the voice says when it stops at those floors. I also didn't notice 23 and 24 buttons at the bottom of the COP. From what I've seen, these might lead up to a restricted floor, might be worth a try when I have the chance to go there again. My Thoughts:
Just like the Hilton Atlanta, these guys are absolutely stunning. I really like how unique the COP is overall, especially with the Otis bug where it beeps when you select a floor, AND the two floor buttons at the bottom. It is quite unusual to see that happen on an Otis with EPCO Fixtures. I usually hear a beep if I select a floor while riding a normal Otis Elevator (like the Series 1, 4, etc.). I also loved that elevonic chime! That also amazes me! Plus the view outside that I got to see for a few seconds when riding the restaurant elevator is brilliant! Based on what I've seen from other users, these have been modded and I really liked what the bell sounded like back then. This is definitely a keeper for a unique Otis like this!
