The reciters of the Qur'an are the special ones to Allāh عز وجل. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم ordered recitation of the Qur'an and said: "alif-lām-mīm is not one letter but rather alif is letter and lām is a letter and mīm is a letter and for each letter is ten hasanāt." So you get thirty hasanāt just for alif - lām - mīm.
