I wish these exceptionally beautiful costumes could be displayed on Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY. The costumes that are worn there are beautiful and extremely expensive, but certainly nothing this grand. If there is no audience for this at this location it is very sad, because people put so much effort, money and time into making it a beautiful celebration…😊

Years ago this place used to be pack with people what happen this is the biggest stage in the world.drop the prices you may get people to come and support the mascarades. We got to eat little and maybe we could make money you may get 50 people for a150 or125. instead of no one watching.you guys could do better So Sad.

That crossed my mind I remember in my day those stands would be packed I wonder if the format used in the past have seen its heyday or if the population is focused on just partying they are no longer interested in what was the norm To me that can be seen in the "costumes" for want of a better word that people particularly women are willing to pay for and call it Mas.When I think back to the amount of research that bandleader undertook before presenting their work to us and to see the Bands today....they must be rolling in their Graves I remember sitting the stands and watching Baileys African inspired Mas coming down the track or Mishall.Sad because I am sure the creativity is still there as can be seen by these costumes but I guess the band leaders have to give the people what they want

North Stand is closed for Kings and Queens competitions. I was present at both the prelims and semis and Grand Stand was packed, and crowd reactions were lively and great.

Wish they had the name of the costume….or the theme listed…. For someone, who don’t know anything about the show, one would think there’s an infestation of insects in the island……

Why you spending all this money to have the North stands and have no one sitting in it.i will not like to be a mascarader to perform to a empty stands maybe just a few in the grand stands we need people from other countries to see how beautiful our culture is let us bring this back to how enjoyable the carnival was like years ago.
