BEAUTIFUL FAKARAVA - SwT 154 - EXPLORING THE PRETTIEST ATOLL IN THE PACIFIC
In this episode, we truly enjoy the beauty of Fakarava. Getting close encounters with lots of sharks and even finding time to just relax at one of the luxury resorts here. Fakarava is definitely among the more touristic atolls here in the South Pacific. But we love it! So beautiful and so crisp clear water. Even some nice beaches as well, something that has been surprisingly hard to find in French Polynesia. We also met a local couple that put all their money and time into building a new church on the motu we visited. Still, experience the hospitality of the friendly Polynesians. This is truly a paradise.

ABOUT THIS CHANNEL:
Sailing around the world in a Bavaria 55 Cruiser, making videos whenever we have time for it. I used to sail singlehanded and occasionally have sailing friends onboard. But now the permanent crew aboard BE FREE is including Gee from Holland. We are now exploring the Pacific Ocean.
Even though this is season 5 on KZread I did not make that many videos in the beginning. Before full-time sailing, I sailed several seasons in the Mediterranean prior to this, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I have been traveling the world before and have also been an active regatta sailor. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and have been sailing ever since. Also, more than 10 years of experience in Search and Rescue at sea in Norway.

I'm just a normal person sharing my travel adventure through my eyes and experience from my perspective! Remember how I do things that might work for me but not for you. It might even not be the correct way to do things, and I don't have the blueprint either. I'm not perfect and nobody is. Love the south pacific! It's so incredibly beautiful! When we went to moorea and Bora Bora the people were so nice!! Very expensive though. Before you 2 leave maybe you can get married there. A perfect place for a wedding! Lolo definitely paradise!!❤❤

The pacific is definitely exciting and different from eg. the Caribbean. Unfortunately we can not stay long here this time, and marriage would been nice but not for the moment. Thank you so much for being here

Very nice. I believe I would have been scared by the nurse sharks as well... But, regarding sailing etc.: What do you do with your blackwater when anchoring in such atoll? Since I do not guess that there is a pump station to get rid of it - just pumping out?

It seems nurse sharks attach themselves by suction & clamping & sometimes won't let go.
400F for a Coke! Isn't that like $4 USD? or 3.5 Euro?...expensive
I don’t care if they’re harmless sharks, I’d pull my legs up too at that table.
