@@santiagocampanupton9344 it’s plastic. If it were still the aluminum & paper wrapping, you would’ve seen the paper wrapping everywhere in the pot.

Suggestion: instead of putting the Hershey's bars in hot water and then squeeze the chocolate out of them (you waste precious chocolate and it's more work and messier) just take the bars from the package, put then in a bowl and put the bowl in hot water. Just my two cents 😊

I thought the exact same thing. Wish they had taken the time to remove bars from wrapper and simply melting chocolate over a double boiler. Was annoyed watching this part as I know they know better 😬

Yeaaaah! The wastages from remaining melts in that packaging. And is it safe to heat the plastic packaging with boiling hot water? I won't risk my long term health on that.

This is quite possibly the dumbest way to melt chocolate that I’ve ever seen

They just had stories about plastic leach into food...

The first recipe is a big no for me: never leave any food in its plastic wrap before boiling or cooking it, it's so bad for our health... 🤦😐☹️ Thumbs up for the second one, it was very creative!!! 😃👍

Ughh yeah ... didn't understand what my eyes were seeing there 😆

The first cake’s plastic waste was unnecessary. Plus, what was the point of boiling Hershey bars in their wrappers only to dump them in a glass bowl that you could have used to melt them with in the first place?

Teenager here, I recommend boiling water and putting a bowl over it, then taking the chocolate out the package and putting it in the bowl, or putting the chocolate in a bowl (no boiling water involved) maybe put it in a microwaveable bowl. Depending on the size of the chocolate

Microwave is not a good idea as it kills all enzymes in food.....enzymes are needed to digest food

This is why I don't eat at other people's houses. Some of them don't practice food hygiene or just lack common sense.

Take the cholcolate out of wrappers and then heat it.

I would NOT cook those in the wrappers. Doesn't seem safe.

Первый торт очень странный. Зачем там нужны были круассаны? И в печенье было добавлено яйцо, надо было его запечь, а не ставить в холодильник. Ерунда. Про шоколад, растопленный на водяной бане вместе с целлофановыми обертками, вообще молчу.

It may not be a safe thing to do boiling chocolate in it's plastic wrap. Chemical may come off in the chocolate. I wouldn't eat it 😳

I wouldn't eat Hersheys 'chocolate' either way TBH. That stuff is nasty. She ought to invest in some decent quality chocolate.

Take the chocolates out of wrappers and then heat it .. that's safe

It would have been easier to melt the Hersey's out of the wrapper...

proper way is get a glass/metal bowl place it above a pot of boiling water, unwrap the chocolate bar wrapper and place the chocolate inside the glass/metal bowl. Heat up the boiling pot of water

Never cook food or beverages in their plastic wrappers or whatever wrappers. Same thing with aluminum cans. The chemicals that lie on the metal and ink from printed labels can cause risk. It doesn't hurt to go through the extra steps of taking the chocolate out and melting it in a bowl that hovers over hot water.
