I decided to research more options, and ended up ordering the DT 770 Pro (32 Ohm so I can use with phone, PS4, etc) by Beyer Dynamics for half the price. I think with BBD you're just paying for the name and Apple brand.

Great review!! I agree with your findings and also with your surprise. I own the Sony XM3, Bose NC 700 & QC-35, Jabra 85h and I agree that I was very positively impressed with the sound quality of the SOLO PRO. Noise cancelling is fantastic. Also comfort on these headphone is excellent and I have a big head. These fit better on me than my Beats Solo3. The Sony and Bose and Jabra are excellent in sounds quality and noise cancelling for sure but for now I will be wearing my SOLO PRO given the Apple iOS integration and same IOS controls as the AirPod Pros.

Damn that solves that issue... my solo 3’s were more speaker than headphone, guess I’ll go and buy the red ones, then I’ll probably have to get the blue ones later on too.

Once apple had acquired beats things started to turn around, I use a pair of solo 3s and they sound really good.

I have them in gray, and I like them, they feel very premium and sound great. Only probably is that they do get uncomfortable for like and hour of use which isn't that big of a deal for me. The noise cancelation is awesome as well as the transparency mode which I use a lot at school to talk to others

I was rocking the power beats pros but decided to get these to because of the sound canceling and the looks

Beats improved a lot, Great Job! The price is really expensive though.

I have these they are so awesome and sound really great.

I ordered mine on Black Friday hope I enjoy them.

@max does the Beats app on Android show the battery level? Android is really bad when it comes to Bluetooth audio. Tip, ask Siri what’s the volume level and then ask her to change the volume to a specific percentage to get accurate level. I like the matte black color.

Odin Asgard The QC 35’s are extremely comfortable more so than the 1000XM3 but has slightly less noise canceling power and not as much bass

Go for the bose qc 35 they have best noise cancelling better then the beats pro.

the clamping force makes it to where they dont slide off my head during my workouts. It was the problem I had with my Beats Studios.

Yeah it's kinda a catch 22. People don't want them to slip off while doing activities but they don't want them tight. It doesn't work like that unfortunately.

I'm trying to decide between buying these and the beats studio 3s since the price of the studio 3's are $200 nows, what do you guys think?

Pick up a pair from the Apple store and couldn't last an hour in the gym with these. They sound good but just aren't as comfortable as over the ears. I'll pick of a pair of mk3 since they on sale for $200

Cool Boy get the iPad Pro 2018, Apple will update it I’m sure for at least 4 years. But 1 year is left out. So, I would suggest waiting for the refreshed iPad Pro 2020 if that will come out (I’m sure it will), but you won’t get it for $500 indeed

Get the mini with celluar it’s faster lte than the 2017 IPad Pro and more pixels per inch you notice when swiping on the home screen a lot smoother because of the smaller screen close to pro motion

I like them because they have the transparency mode like The AirPods Pro but I don’t know why the studio’s 3 are the same price but don’t have it (I know it’s old and everything) but they should lower the price down

would you choose these or Air pod pros? as just an overall audio experience

Well after Beats was acquired by Apple the sound quality become a better focus instead of wasting a bunch of money on product placement on music videos or movies.

I love these! Mine finally died so I looked into the Beats Studio pro, and the Solo Pro 4 and they were very disappointing! returned both! The materials did not feel as sturdy, and the new solo pros were smaller and not as comfortable, and the sound was too sharp when volume needed to be high, also your near by neighbor could hear as well, and the bass was not as full. The new Studio Pro sounds ok but the noise cancellation is sub par in comparison to the older Solo Pro 3. So if you have these keep em and if you don’t, get them!

I'm using my Beats Solo 2 Wireless which I bought over 5yrs ago to watch this video and they're beats... Nothing more , nothing less they're loud that's all I can tell you.

Should I go with these or the Bose QC 35 ii?

The ANC sucks but for its price I say they're alright the travel case is a joke though sound stage also is lacking and they always sound like they're on a bright setting and as a metal fan I hate that I do like the the on off feature but hate on ear headphones cause they never truly give you that immersive feeling

I got mine for 110 euros. It’s really good

I’m sure these are great but u can get the Sony 1000 over the ear or Bose qc 35 2 for under 250 which are better in sound quality and nc and more comfortable

@@pauldeshield They were launched along side AirPods Pro, so they kinda got overshadowed. Plus they haven’t been marketed that well. They had one commercial with Billie Eilish and Pharrell Williams collection and thats it. And they were $300 at launch, so for that price they have tough competition.

I don't get why the on-ear genre exists. What's the point of that design? It's not much more portable than over ear, but it's far less comfortable.

I’m tossed up between these and another set of headphones because I hear the clamping of these Beats are too much for any small extended period of time. Is it really that uncomfortable?

I can't wear mine for more than an hour, it's not a deal breaker for me and I highly enjoy these headphones, I use them everyday. But if you want headphones that you can wear for hours and hours, get over ear headphones.

I suggest you set them to "Excited" in the Sony app unless you have a oneplus then EQ them in the phone and keep the LDAC codec.

I can't afford those lol

grados are over ears but they don't clamp down like the solo pros

I hate sharp highs on headphones... it`s the biggest reason I wouldn`t buy these. In the past (many years ago) I had beats mixr on ear headphones, and they had shrill highs that hurt my ears.

For $300 the beats pro cost what a rip off. I bought the beats Pro in the apple shop and the sound quality and bass is like total garbage. It didn't even sound good and wasn't even loud enough plus the bass was very weak. So I change it for the sony exb900n and the sound quality and the bass was way way better then the beats pro.

You’re not missing out on this trash anyway. I have Studio3s that came with my MacBook Pro, and they are nothing special. They actually broke the first day of use when I was folding them to put them away. Beats are cheap China quality products sold for that Apple premium.

It is the W1 chip and not the H1 chip that pairs to an iPhone

Their carrying case is a huge let down. Its not a hard shelled carrying case. 1:54 and this part is down right stoooopid how is it right to charge 35 dollars on just an audiocable. Other headphones have audiocables that come together with the headphones in the full package. I think the sony wh1000xm3 are far super way better to get with almost the same money over the beats solo pro. I think they r overhyped and overpriced. Beats sukkkkk.😬😬😬

Sony NC is better, no doubt. But what I don't like about the Sony is touch controls and bluetooth. The Beats have very good NC, real hardware switches, and can connect to multiple Apple devices which I have, and lightning charging port which is more convenient for me. So, Sony is not better, for me, it depends on the individual requirements.

It’s not loud like pass beats. And bass is pretty much gone to give you a flat sound.
