You need to hear badass (level) mode barehanded, and you'll get the badge, then you can equip it You can use armors too!

You have to beat badass mode with no weapons you could also get a red hot by beating sir seranga and have a purple hit by beating sir violet

Cuz the barehanded attack can be spammed a lot more than the Airbender attack, some people use alchemist to do even more damage
