@@zachtwilightwindwaker596 There's probably been other episodes in the past, but in the most recent episode of Pokemon Horizons, Iono'a Bellibolt vs Dot's Quaxley (Dot doesn't really have another battling Pokemon to use, so they're stuck with a bad matchup), after repeatedly attacking with water gun, they end up soaking most of the arena. Iono then uses Discharge, which had previously been a huge bubble of electricity that dealt massive damage to Quaxley, but after the arena became wet, it was somehow all absorbed by the water on the ground, no huge bubble.

There's a chance that the AI recognizes that important story bits are not to be spoiled if possible.

I believe at 7:52 chatgpt is trying to say the name Luna references the moon and that is a nod to the lore of the iconic Pokemon Clefairy and its connection to the moon. Definitely not a good way to word that though.

@@NickamonYT : Funnily enough, despite 2 entries for Squirtle, Charmander in Kanto does end up even higher, but that's without the added issue that picking Squirtle also causes your rival to pick Bulbasaur, leading to many potential annoyances with Sleep Powder, something both Mikey and PaPasea have experience with I'm pretty sure.

I have done a run like this a few months ago and it works great but you have to ground the AI for it to work well. What I did was to input a set of rules like: - I want a balanced team - make sure to think about HMs - only give definitive answers not suggestions You need to correct the AI on the first inputs as well and it will remember. … Then I was simply asking it simple inputs like “I just done this - what should I do next” or “what Pokémon should I catch next” You also need to update it on your team and its levels from time to time. It’s pretty cool then you can use the same chat history in future play through so it remembers what you done.

I suspect there were a few things that tripped the AI up: -It’s mostly based on scraping text data, when video would be really helpful for determining orientation and what not. -Although there are progression blocks at points in the game, it is fairly open, thus there is some flexibility in how you approach things. -The game has been remade multiple times. None of that explains everything, but it does go a fair way.

Yeah chat gtp is actually pretty dumb. It gets things wrong constantly, even basic facts. It's a fun gimmick, but it's not practical for anything. People who think it can do complex things has either not used it longer than a few minutes or also isn't very smart. Lol

You shouldn't have to specify Pokemon Blue every time and it doesn't really remember, it's rereading the chat. When you send a new prompt in the same chat, you're sending the whole thing back. I'd recommend starting a chat by saying something like "I'm playing Pokemon Blue and using your steps to make major decisions. Format your responses in this template: Decision: Reasoning:" You can play around with whatever format you want but there's a ton you can do to get what you're looking for. You can also probably request a confidence rating to see how confident it is that it has the correct answer or tell it to respond a certain way if it doesn't have a good answer

sorry to ask but a while ago I tried buying used ultra moon and sun (like both multiple times across 3 days from a used game store) and whenever I got to the z move tutorial the game would just freeze and shut off, is that just a problem the servers have? Or did I just get unlucky and got corrupted save files like 5 times in a row and should try again until I get a working copy? (Again sorry but Reddit and stuff says nothing about it so I’m assuming someone like you is my best option to figure it out; I wanna relive my childhood with a physical copy again)

Ok so I'm curious, and depending on how the Aai responds it could either be a really easy or really hard idea: Find a pokemon rom hack/emulator that has most, if not all, pokemon available. Then ask an AI what pokemon it likes, moves to give them, abilities etc. Then do a full run with ONLY this team, even if they give you moves or abilities that can't normally be on a pokemon, hack it onto them.
