the fact that it gives an all flying team as an example of a bad team is especially funny for this gen, considering the prevalence of superman teams in ADV OU

I don't wanna be that guy, but If it's doing what the guidebook says so you'll plant berries and grab potions. Why didn't you beat three trainers before Brawly? "You MUST defeat three trainers before you reach Brawly."

Jacob killing the sableye on accident while talking about how trash it was is the exact same way I lost Sillydillo, my sandslash, in my ruby nuzlocke. I was on the route between fortree and lilycove and one of the trainers had a milotic. I started complaining to my friends about how dumb it is to get milotic in gen 3 and zoned out, ignoring the fact that it was raining in the overworld and that it knew water pulse. I was going to switch to manectric since sandslash was in my lead spot but I was mashing A and not paying attention

Alpharad recreating PaPaSea’s 10B view video series
My favorite trainer is Lusamine, but specifically from USUM. Her redemptiom arc and her ability to move on from her husband and her research is some of my favorite writing in Pokemon. And shes hot and I have a thing for moms.
The energy I get from Jacob in this vid is like a 7 year old looking over his friend’s shoulder telling them how to play the game instead of playing the game himself.
pokemon green screen bug version
Reminds me of myself when I was first playing Red, I had the guide back then too, it had the pokemon listed for each section you went to and which version you could catch them in
Papasea, don't worry we love you.
it amazes me how one can be a genius at a game and yet still not know so much about it. the duality of man
"I thought this was going to be athird party thing..." *points to third party thing branding*
Altering Cave was used for the E-Reader in Japan. The E-Reader would scan event cards sold at the Pokemon Centers and change the cave to have encounters with the Pokemon on the card. However, the E-Reader was a massive commercial failure outside Japan, so those event cards were never released overseas.
jacob have you been stalking my watch history i literally just was watching this vod 2 days ago
the book being greenscreened the whole time makes it so much funnier
We need more!
Papasea?
21:00 Alpharad missed signs of someone he judged
Idk why but I really like Alpha's energy in this video specifically
"THEY KEEP JUKING ME OUT" - Cjya, that one Emerald race
Alpha should have gone all in and feigned surprise to stall as he wrote out on a sticky note "you can hack in rare candies" and stuck it in the book
Ontop of picking out your team, a guidebook on Emerald os also the funniest one you could have chosen to bring in front of a green screen
Great video Jan!
The Loudred masterball moment will feed families
This is basically how I used act with every game, not just Pokemon. I would use the guidebook for said game whenever possible.
For a second I thought that was what the cover of that book looked like and was like "OMG THAT IS SO COOL!!!" until you said green screen then I remembered it looks like that because of emerald.
Alpha's eyes got really bloodshot 20:08
When was this recorded that chatter made it sound like there's been a podcast episode within the last 2 years
I'm glad our type of pokemon trainers is the exact same in the exact same order. even if they're 3 beloved characters, it makes me feel less crazy

All that and the Battle Tent prize is a Full Heal, ouch
Its crazy how the Minecraft guide video gained 10m views in just 3 months lol
