Just for the sake of clarity, here’s the pinned comment from parts 1 and 2 answering any FAQs regarding the series! *(FYI, this comment has been updated in the most recent installment of this series!)* • Why are you using plant food if PvZ1 doesn’t have plant food? I didn’t think about this going into the challenge, but I’ll be sticking to using plant food due to how PvZ2 is designed around this mechanic. • Why won’t you use premiums from the first game in this challenge? The main reason I’m not using premiums is just to have strategies for this challenge be more accessible to everyone. *There are exceptions to this rule, I can use them if the game picks them for me to use.* But I’m limiting myself as much as possible in order to make this challenge as fun and “freemium” as possible! *Also gem plants and one seed packet plant are exceptions to this rule.* • Can’t you use [insert plant here], they were in PvZ1 China? And what about [PvZ2 plants that function the same as a PvZ1 plant that isn’t in the game]? The way I see it, *plants such as Bonk Choy were designed as PvZ2 plants first, and were added to PvZ1 China later, so I’m not counting them as PvZ1 plants.* Iceberg Lettuce, while possibly based off of a scrapped PvZ1 plant, was also redesigned as a PvZ2 plant. As for plants like Gloom Vine, or PvZ2 plants that have a plant food which acts like a plant from PvZ1 like Ice-shroom and Doom-shroom, I won’t count for the challenge either. A PvZ2 plant is a PvZ2 plant. • Hey, did you know that you can change Peashooter back to level 1/obtain seed packet plants by editing the game’s files? I know that now, thanks to you all! However, I don’t want to edit my save files. I’ve had decent luck obtaining seed packet plants through the shop, and Peashooter hasn’t been significant enough in the run for me to want to edit the files. • I noticed you have [premium plant], aren’t they premium? Just for the sake of completion (or for a later challenge in the future), I’m trying to obtain as many PvZ1 premium/seediums plants as possible! Just because I have them doesn’t mean they’re “legal” for this challenge, I just want to collect them. If I ever use them, make sure to understand the context of to why I’m using them (which would be addressed or implied in the video when I used them). :) I’ll update this with more questions and answers as I find more or come up with more. I appreciate any and all suggestions, but I’d rather you all have official answers before the next part!

Day 13, Abuse plant food on magnet shroom to win? Also i can never get how anybody finds pvz2 hard, its an easy game no premiums required, although i do have some premiums i did a run not using any, the only level i struggle with in the whole game is that one where you are limited to primal pea sunflower and mine.

12:43 I love how the middle twin sunflower perfectly produced sun just as he says a curse word.

I gotta say his descent into madness is magnifique. "You didn't need to buff chompers! You needed to nerf sunshrooms!" Simply amazing.

I liked that part when Alex said "it's zen-boosting time" and zen-boosted all over the endagered plants, really emotional.

"Oh, we did it... cool!" Was funny

35:52 This level is pretty easy if you put Spikeweed on the flowers which makes it so the Zombies can't trample them since they'll be walking over the Spikeweeds. You then just have to watch out for the Gargantuars since they can destroy the Spikeweeds (you can also gradually replace the Spikeweeds with Spikerocks).

I absolutely loved the massive Battle Cats reference. You saved that sunflower boost for just the occasion, huh?

Lightning Reed (Best counter, however, he isn't really strong as primary attacker), Spikeweed or Spikerock (Second best counter i guess), straight shooting plant that has a fast fire rate, and stun & freeze plant (The technic is freeze/stun the Chicken Hoarder first, and kill it, he won't spawn the chickens.

I'm simultaneously shocked and impressed that you figured out Garlic was actually a good plant in Jurassic Marsh, solely because Dinosaurs are so broken that just moving zombies out of the lane is infinitely more viable than actually trying to defend. Pretty ironic that one of the worst plants in the game counters one of the hardest worlds.

Hey man, I’ve been watching since the beginning of this series and just want to say, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. it’s really enjoyable to watch, funny, interesting, and very clean editing. A cool but painful idea you could try is beating the Chinese version like this, although they are very hard to obtain, there are way more pvz1 plants you could use. In the version, you can also choose which world you want to go to. I hope for the success you deserve comes to you

i am really loving this series, its actually what got me to sub! i know this aint the point of the video but i gotta say what's been said 100 times over. the PVZ2 level design is SO EMBARRASSINGLY BAD sometimes. the fact that plants can be world gimmicks (meaning you cant use em anywhere else: thyme warp, golden leaf...) really just shows there wasnt much forward thinking when it came to world balancing. thank you for coming to my TED talk

About that. You would think because of cat tail it would be easy right? No it wasn't! Letter only the first thing they have to do it's a bit the quote unquote experience impact of the world is beating the normal game and then transferring that pp.dat the com.ea.pvz2_refourished files no backup

What a fantastic series, would love to see a reverse series where you only use pvz1 plants that were also added to pvz2 in pvz1 (for example not using doom or scaredy shroom cuz there were not in pvz2). I know other youtubers have also done it, but I would to like to see it from you :)

Fun fact: the Jurassic Marsh harmonica is scientifically proven to boost the quality of any song it's in by at least 76%. Also random side note: I think the name "Demonstration Mini-Game" is stupid. The community literally calls it that because AVP called it that for some reason. How did we not go with Brainiac Maniac, you know, the track being remixed in the first place? That's like calling Ultimate Battle "All-Out Challenge" or something. Anyways, thank you for the thrilling finale to this gem of a series!

I really enjoyed this series!!! If you ever consider playing some of these levels again, you should note that plant food can reset the cool down for any plant slot that you use it on.

He said "I also ended up beating it with just a row of Winter Melons!" My guess is that he planted Winter Melon at 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th lane, then he used first plant food on Winter Melon when first Punk Jam appear, plant food again on Winter Melon after a while to kill the Bucketheads in 1st & 5th lane, sacrifice his lawnmower in the middle, when it's nearing final wave, he shoveled one of his Winter Melon (Probably the 1st or 5th Winter Melon), and used Cherry Bomb to kill the zombies in 3rd lane, when final wave come, he used the rest sun to plant Magnet Shroom in 3rd lane, then plant food it & wreck all of the zombies on it's lane :Trollsuperhd I know it's kinda too spesific lol, but well, who knows some of my guesses are right 🤓.

hey it’s you, i was looking forward to your comment! i’m really glad you enjoyed the series!! :) as for NMT 13, i used Winter Melons on lanes 1, 2, 4, and 5. splash damage was able to take out anything in the middle, and when things looked desperate, i used plant food on a Winter Melon. things start getting desperate around the end, so if a zombie was about to eat one of the melons, i’d shovel it and use an instant (between Squash, Cherry Bomb, and Jalepeño). most of the fight was stalling as much as possible so that they lawn mowers can take out anything that didn’t die to the melons or the instants by the time the final wave hits.
