I'm so, so glad you made mention of where many inspirations REALLY come from. Many of the fragrance notes we enjoy today and even note combinations began hundreds even thousands of years ago in the Middle East. The Western frag houses are very late to the fragrance world. I have a great appreciation for Middle Eastern ouds, insense, resins, spices, and florals and the tradition of luxurious presentations. 😊 Thank you for bringing us your beautiful culture and for all the information.

shaghaf oud for me doesnt smell of rose, i only feel it tiny bit in background. what dominates is vanilla and that overwhelming sweetness. it's the sweetest perfume i've smelled and i absolutely love it

I have oud mood ,I do 3 max sprays on my upper belly,not near the nose,it gets warm the oud blends with the Smokey musky floral and smells like luxury and actually soo sexy as the day goes on ,it’s best for evening and only for special occasions (outdoors),,don’t go more than 3 sprays or you might cause the smoke detector to go off,there is no gray area for this fragrance.,,stay WELL STAY STRONG.

I loved your description of the Sadness video and tying it to the scent. Perfect description! I too picture scent environments as I first use and come to learn the moods of my perfumes. I have and wear all of these except the Shaghaf white and blue (too masculine!) and your assessment is really spot on! I love the idea of Madj Al Sultan layered with Ameer AO Int. I enjoy both of these for layering and can’t wait to try it! Because of the myrrh Majd has a kind of honey or even hazelnut undercurrent; if you can recognize that note it really pops there. I like layering it with vanillas, lemon, and sweet gourmands, like Lira, Nebras, Ani. Beautiful! Thank you ❤

Love amethyst and oud for glory. Amethyst has raspberry according to lattafa. It's not atomic rose who cares it's fabulous. Wear all the time.

I'm in love with shaghaf oud aswad so much! At where it at night before going to bed, and spray it into my sheets, ooh my... It drowns me in a very deep sleep😂😂😂. It is really potent and fore sure, extra cold weather use. People have to keep in mind that it can bother s'dy...intimate fragrance not for office or date at all...😂

But it is all Suede leather sweetness (no oud). I think it is the riskiest blind buy. But if you like feminine leather scents, you are gonna love it!

I got tamima to Last 8 hours. Took 4 months. Sounds like angel share on eternal oud. I wear whatever I want to heck with peoples opinions. Lol

I want them all. YUM 😂

@@Natediaaz209 to me smells exactly like Grand Soir. Angel’s Share is sweeter, fruitier less dusty. If you want a Angel’s Share dupe go for Kismet Angel or Cocktail Intense

I didn't get any rose in Shaghaf Oud, had to upgrade to Oud Bouquet. I'd say SO is a better choice if you DON'T like rose.

Just got Majd Al Sultan in the mail. My first Arabian fragrance! I'm a female and definitely appreciate this perfume but I completely agree with you that I will need to be selective about when and who I will wear this fragrance around. It's not repulsive at all, it definitely gives off that BTFP cozy smokey vibe but it is definitely smokey/incensey. The aromatics I think you're picking up on is the cedarwood. It's honestly very well blended but not for the faint of heart. I'm planning on layering this with sweeter scents and possibly Khamrah once that comes in the mail ( see if it works out like I hope ). For just over $20 you can't go wrong IF you like this DNA. The bottle is beautiful BUT the cap and atomizer are not high quality....again for the price it's nothing to lose sleep about and this could be a great addition to anyone's collection. Thanks for all the great content Sim! You're awesome! 💖

Yeah I agree with you, I'm also a woman. I'm actually wearing Majd now, in my London flat. 😅For me this is such a comforting, warm and cozy sent. It's actually not a beast mode fragrance and layering with it gets better in my opinion. I layer with 'Stash' by Sarah Jessica Parker and 'Noir' By Pascal Morabito. Basically any other fragrance that i need to add a little smoke/warmth to it.👌🥰

Shagaf Oud was my gateway to oud. I cannot wait for it to get cold enough to wear! I tend to overspray it, but I just love it so much. And thanks to your videos I tried Eternal Oud. I always get compliments when I wear it. My travel spray has been in my purse for a few months, and it has scented my leather wallet!❤

I just received Al Noble Ameer today. I bought after the 1st time I watched this video. What a classy scent! (I’m a 53 y/o female, and I’m a *cough cough* “collector”. I’m also not bothered by how a fragrance is marketed in terms of gender. I’m actually hoping this gets a wee bit stronger, but so far it’s beautifully blended. 🎉

Shaghaf Oud isn't as rose forward as I thought. It's more woody. I wish it was more rosy.

There should be a female version of Shagaf Oud Asraq! The packaging is gorgeous and my favorite color is blue. Anyways, I found a seller of Middle Eastern perfumes here in the Philippines and I'll start buying some decants first.

Apparently it's honey 🍯 and Oud. In my opinion just get the Aswad and you don't need any other ones. You can layer it with other fragrances or wear it on it's own. I've had my Aswad for 2 years now and honestly I've never needed any other Oud fragrance and I'm a woman by the way. I wore it for my niece's wedding layered it with Alien, it was amazing! 🥰👌 Don't fall for the hype of new releases, plus the Aswad is way cheaper now. Make sure to get the one with Arabic writing ✍️ on the bottle, not the one with English writing on it.

We grew up with a saying..."If you can't say something good about _______ (fill in the blank), don't say anything at all. AND...you are very correct...we never know when a smile or kind word can positively change someone's day...and in turn, perhaps their life.

It's very strong, smoky oud. I have been macarating for several months and don't find it sweet or pretty as many influencers describe. It's very intense, I'd say masculine smoky dark liquor leaning.

I love it, but mine has been macerating for 8 months so it’s very sweet and smoky vanilla. I love to layer it with anything that has a caramel or sugar note. Boosts performance and adds depth. My favorite is to layer with Fancy JS or Fireside Flurries from BBW
