As an emo kid coming all the way from AttackAttack!, this is incredibly powerful. Not only for Caleb's journey, but for all of us who have followed him, have felt the same way, suffered our own or similar struggles and often lost the battle trying to love ourselves. All the emo kids who made it this far will get shivers. I, for one, never thought I'd make it past high school. Here I am. 29 and listening to this absolute banger, free of self harm or attempted self unaliving for 4 years now. This song represents the overcome of that battle, and I'll belt this until I die a glorious death.

I've been listening since A!A! as well, if it wasn't for Caleb's music, I don't think I'd be here. I didn't think I'd live through high school, but I just turned 25

I’m really loving Caleb’s shirtless era

So, this last year (pretty much since Riptide) I have been going through personal growth... Getting therapy, moving past my trauma, coming off my antidepressants, learning who I am and being okay with it. This year I have begun to, for the first time ever, be happy and proud to be me! Beartooth have always been my go to mental health band, Caleb manages to accurately depict the struggle in a beautiful and creative way! I find it so awesome that as my journey of positivity started Beartooth changed their content... A year later and yes I agree "I think I might love myself" Thank you Caleb for being who you are and being so open with your struggles and healing! Its helped me and countless others through!!

Y'all, I think you have no idea how much of an impract this song will have on people. I am so grateful for this song. I've been on this fight with myself trying to figure out self-love and self-worth and fighting with my body dysmorphia. This song helps. I worked out to it this morning and instead of using work out as a punishment or a form of self-hate, I think I finally understand joyful movement and moving myself just because my body deserves it. He has ALWAYS written anthems for us - for me specifically, like in the exact goddamn time I needed them 😅 He knows music is 🤷‍♀️ idk just downright fuckin cathartic (and often much more readily available for a lot of us loner types/just in general considering health-care and access to therapy or money in general), one Shomo concert speech will confirm just how clearly he has lived it himself. With his raw uncut vulnerable parts like fuuuccckk he just makes me feel so seen/felt/heard/understood in a way I have never felt just by pushing play on my phone 😭

Beartooth has helped me so many times when I have fought hard in deeper points of my depression. I'm honestly getting teary eyed seeing Caleb looking so happy and showing joy/happiness in the music. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much for all you've done, your music means so much.

This band has been my favourite band for about 7 years. I can't wait !!!

With all the past singles I've had to sit with them for a bit, give them like five or six listens of each one, and I've come out loving them all. This is no different! The positive energy and vibe of this song is unmatched! The mix of positivity, energy, a little pop and electronic, and face melting metal is perfectly balanced! The message is incredible and im so happy for Caleb for making it this far! This gives me so much hope for myself finding that self love and pure happiness, and for all those struggling as well. My favorite part of this song is when you "WHOO!" right before "It took my body over." It is so good to know that feeling. It's even better to know someone else has felt the same. I really can't decide between this one, Riptide, and I Was Alive. This album is kicking my ass.

So this new album is called “The Surface”. I thought about it a bit, and had an epiphany. Disgusting Aggressive Disease Below The Surface Line them all up, and you have a perfect description of depression, addiction, anxiety, and many other mental health disorders. I may be late to the party on that realization, but I was proud of myself on figuring it out. Caleb is a fucking GENIUS and I am so happy to be on this ride. I only hope I can find the happiness he has found

Somehow Caleb your songs get released at the perfect time, especially this song when I am literally experiencing what this song is saying at this exact moment in my life. I have had a life, enough to have a whole book series wrote about it, from traumatic childhood to even war. I never gave up though and I can say I am happy where I am now, and this some song says exactly how I feel. Feels like you guys are really turning a new page, and I'm loving the new sound! Beartooth was with me through all the struggles and pain. Ive been following them since 2013 and its truly beautiful to see their growth. From deep self hatred to self love. I feel like i grew up with them & their music has helped me get through so many dark moments in my life as a teenager. So fucking proud to see them in a whole different vibe💓💓💓💓
