I dont have a bad math teacher, he's pretty great actually, it's just that the class that im taking has to go super fast, meaning i usually dont get things right away. This video though, definitely helped figure out how this stuff worked.

this helped me so much. 4 other girls and myself missed the first day of this lesson and our teacher refused to show us how to do it because we "miss too much school." So I am glad you made this video so now I can walk in there knowing what I am doing.

Last question, When I calculated part a I got 37.8 miles and part b I got 37° because the bearing was N 53° E and when we subtract it from 90° we get 37 remaining and that is the bearing of the boat from the island
Thank you so much your making me to know things I didn't

aren't bearings supposed to be calculated from north, so if you have N 20 W, it would be 360 - 20 and that answer would be the bearing right? *this is because one quadrant or the space between each cardinal point is 90 degrees, so for all 4 it would be 360.*

Mukarram Khan I know this comment was 10 months ago but I’ll still explain. He used tan because he is trying to figure out Y which is the opposite of the angle. And he needs to use the adjacent (500ft) to figure it out. The formula of tan is: tan = opposite divided by adjacent.
The bestttttttttttt vedio I love you
Wow this is awesome. Even a dummy like me could understand everything
Why isn't the angle under 53° in problem 4 37°. I know why it's 26.2, but why don't we use the method 90-57 for this one?
@martinoa
5 жыл бұрын
His drawing makes it look like it is creating a 90º angle with E, but it is not. If you look at the distances and angle of the problem and draw it correctly, there would still be another, smaller angle underneath the 26.2º angle.
