Exactly, these kids in the audience saying it was boring have no idea, and are spoilt by 3 minute perfection pieces that have been rehearsed for ages - this was utter dope, artistically, technically, mucically, any way you look at it.

Having said that, his live improv is always so captivating because you have the joy of seeing how his musical ideas evolve in real time, and with the "Beardytron" rig he has such incredible flexibility to sculpt sounds and conjure those ideas into reality. Ayyy I'm catching myself fanboying over here... Yeah he's a legend

He is the definition of freestyle. Like there's this show that he did where he let the audience choose 3 topics, and 2 genres. He then made a freaking song and track out of that combining those 2 genres and talking about those 3 topics on the spot! He was just using RC-300 back then.

Judges in GBB are just final bosses in the beatbox game and here we have the boss of freestyle. While you just have a loopstation, He has his loop center.

I knew he's a legend, but didn't pay much attention to him. I feel so dumb now. The fact that he even freestyles all this makes him so unique in the community.

And basically everything is done on the spot, too. No routines, all from his mind. Absolutely insane, he's truly mastered the loopstation. Highly recommend watching his earlier shows, when it was just him and a loopstation, with minimal sound manipulation.

Beardyman never ceases to amaze me every time I see him perform his beatboxing - I've been following him for years, he is truly incredible!

Beardyman is really the pioneer in looping, he was doing waves a decade ago and he's only got better and better. This man is pretty much the reason I'm into beatboxing

@@ragasdapper If you look at it from a pure beatbox perspective it's cheating. If you look at it from a live production perspective it's amazing. So I am glad it got its own category. I do find what gene does to be cheating though since he relies on pre-recorded tracks for his performance. Beardy can cheat if he needs to, for example for album songs or to mix things up in long live sets at festivals where he wants to drop and remix an existing track of his. But in this performance almost all tracks where original. And the only one that was not was clearly performed live. So no cheating here :D

@@ragasdapper Definitely, I am beardy fan since 2008 so I remember the 1 kaospad and rubber duck video. But especially with his iPad gear he got some pushback. It's probably the reason he did a bit of pure beatbox in his shows at the start. Would have been cool if he did it here as well.

I would give everything I own just to have the chance to go back in time and watch this live
