When they’re babies it’s so much easier to help them shed, everything comes off easy and they let you help them. When they’re adults it’s harder 😂 they hate it when you help them and it’s parts of their bodies at a time lol.

I don't know is that's is stuck shed but if it isn't your not suppose to pull off bearded dragon shed like that your suppose to let it come off by itself because it can pull of its scales

If you leave it for a while they will try and get it igf themselves and it's possible that they will use their cage to do so which can sevrly hurt them if don't wrong

You're right, you're not supposed to peel it off for them. Usually it will fall off naturally.

They know their dragon and how to take care of it. Shed assistance helps the dragon avoid painful issues like stuck shed, scratched eyes and circulation problems so educate yourselves and stop policing reptile owners about how to take care of their pets!!😡😡

@@amandamarary1185 honestly they weren’t wrong in this case. Yea it’s annoying when people police others but if you force it it can be painful for the beardie and it doesn’t look like it was coming off easily enough to not be painful for him tbh

@@amandamarary1185 he was acting like he was about to bite, a sign of pain, not to mention he seemed to be tugging on it in places that were still developing, it leaves a waxy residue that does more harm than good if you do it too early.

While fascinating to watch, this is a healthy young dragon who would shed properly on its own given the proper environment in which to do so. You are over soaking this young dragon to make it easier to peel on camera to gain views. This dragon is NOT suffering from damage due to the layers of stuck she’d accumulated over time. You are not helping this dragon. It is more likely that you’re harming it. Do better.

Please don’t turn your dragon as you did in the video. Tipping a dragon over can kill them. Placing on the backs can cause distress & can cause lung collapse. It can also cause stress & them to struggle to right themselves & strain their back. If they are left on their backs for too long, their systems can go into a catatonic state & their respiration can slow down to just a few breaths per minute to protect themselves. It is similar to a comatose type of state due to reduced oxygenation. I concur, a dragon shouldn't be turned onto its back at all.
