Evening folks! Welcome to another video, I really hope you enjoy it. My main focus with this episode was to really show what it’s like being part of the biggest eating contest on earth, so there’s a lot more behind the scenes/vlog style footage than usual. Sadly ESPN enforced a ‘no cameras on stage’ policy this year, meaning none of the eaters could get any footage up close at the table. Still, thanks to my mate Bob Shoudt and in part Mrs Beard, we managed to cobble together some footage of the contest. It might be a little hectic, but I’m sure you’ll still get the idea! Finally, thanks to everyone for all the messages of support. I found the conditions and whole scope of the event really quite formidable, but I gave it my all, and you can be sure I’ll be back next year after plenty of practice!

Loved the footage and BTS stuff too. Sucks seeing you so disappointed afterwards...but glad you washed it all away with copious amounts of alcohol. Oh and the all important Guinness from Stonie haha. I had always considered myself to be a big eater, I have now changed my mind and put myself on the kids' table! Thanks! Joking apart, watching this over a year after it happened, I must say that was quite a strong showing from you. First time in the big-time and beating your record with the feeling you could've done better must surely count as a big dub, at least in my book! Keep up the good work destroying buffets and challenges. When this Covid-19-stuff eases up, why not go to Sweden for some challenges? There are quite a few edgy ones nowadays!

he's a class act melissa...I didn't mention it in the video but at the 'eater meeting' we had the night before the contest he went out of his way to introduce himself and everything. I just get the feeling he's a bit of a shy guy. I think maybe he has other focuses too...he did youtube so consistently from such a young age, I think we can give him a break for taking his foot off the gas a bit haha

Surviving a quirky American event is a victory in of itself. There's a little jingle that you here from time to time here that includes the words, "baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet". These staples are what we are most proud of. LOL I think you did fine for a first go-round. On that note, I check every few weeks when the haggis event takes place and, now that you know from last year what they constitute as "done" and "not done", I'm looking forward to your second go at that one, come time for it.
