If you haven't already, there are actually a few different video reviews I would like to send your way that may fit the bill. The first is for a beard trimmer I have been recommending for the past year, which has been one of the better trimmers I've come across. This is a quality product and from the feedback I've received from the last year, has been well received and enjoyed across the board. If your focus is targeted in on achieving that stubble look, as well as the 3mm-5mm short hair, I recommend taking a look at the Philips Norelco Beard Trimmer 5500 (amzn.to/35Xit7M) and the Philips Norelco Series 5100 (amzn.to/32GlDe4) seen here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/k4d5qMF6f8jUh5s.html and here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z4p72MGPeKmdYJs.html. The Beard Trimmer 5500 is basically the updated version of the Series 5100, but I still enjoy the design of the Series 5100. Not sure exactly what you are looking for, but take a look at my video on the Beard Trimmer 5500 (amzn.to/2UOIaEx) vs Series 5100 Beard and Head Trimmer (amzn.to/2Dlywj5) seen here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/k4d5qMF6f8jUh5s.html. These two trimmers have built in zoom wheels and only 3 attachments each. The increment settings go as low as 0.4mm and adjust in 0.2mm increments through many settings. that braun trimmer is corded or cordless

Hi, Anurag. The Braun MGK3080 is a cordless trimmer. It will not work while it is plugged in and charging. This is due to safety risks, as the Braun trimmer can be used wet/dry, in and out of the shower. Hope this helps! Thanks, again, for supporting the channel. All the best!

With the Braun MGK3080 and the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 MG7750, it all comes down to personal preference. If bodygrooming is an important factor with your trimmer, the Braun MGK3080 includes a more robust bodygroom attachment that would get the job done with greater efficiency. However, personally, I lean more toward the beard trimming. In this department, I like the Multigroom 7000's superior Lithium-ion battery, as well as its foil shaver attachment that I can use on the beard, as well as the body. The Philips 7000 also has reinforced comb guards that feel very strong and a stainless steel quality finish. That said, for some, the 23-pieces included with the Multigroom 7000 are seen as burdensome, as compared to the lighter load included with the Braun MGK3080. The Braun can also cut at higher lengths, so someone needing to trim a beard at 21mm would go with the Braun MGK3080 over the Philips, as the Multigroom 7000 only goes up to 16mm. I had no issues with the cutting blades on either trimmer, but for me, I continue to go with the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 (amzn.to/2VFKIFI). Hope this helps! I've taken a quick look at the product on Amazon and its design and included attachments look to be more in line with the Philips Norelco Series 5100 or Philips Norelco Beard Trimmer 5500 that I have reviewed. I'm seeing a trimmer with zoom wheel and 3 comb attachments. Is this the correct product that you are referencing? Thanks.

I'm a bit confused by this Braun model. Is it the exact same as the mgk5080? Is one of these the newer model?

Hi, Pat. Thanks for your question. I haven't had a chance to test out the MGK5080, but you are correct. The MGK3080 and MGK5080 are practically identical. While the MGK3080 uses a nickel metal hydride battery that requires 8hrs of charge time for 60 minutes of use, the MGK5080 has a Lithium-Ion battery which requires only 1hr of charge time and gives you 100 minutes of use. It also has a 5 min quick charge feature and Braun markets its "autosensing motor." The MGK5080 would seem to be the updated model, with the added features many consumers may have found lacking.
