    @@TheHide look at the magwell. 300 win mag COAL is nearly an inch longer than 308win. I know it’s nit picking, but a bigger magwell makes it not an ar10. Hence why they named it BC-8 instead of BC-10 like my 308 is

    If the ejection is anemic an adjustable won’t help. It will only help dial down gasses. To increase ejection either open gas port, reduce bolt buffer weight or buffer spring. All likelihood that as it wears in the reciprocal parts will get smoother and settle in to a more reliable ejection pattern with zero help.

    You might be learning to flinch. I gave up my 338 Lapua Magnum and my 300 Winchester magnum. I didn’t have long enough range and my shoulder got tired fast. Oh yes, I did learn how to flinch the anticipation of that recoil. As usual, I do enjoy your video reviews. Nowadays, its way out of my price range almost anything fixed income going to the grocery store nothing left, but the remembrance of better times.

    I was waiting for this to come out. But decided to go with the GLFA 300 Win Mag. It has a stainless barrel. And is half the price. Will be installing a LMT muzzle break, Larue MBT Straight Bow trigger, Tubbs flat wire, Strike Industries extended latch, Luth PRS Stock and grip. Picking it up today. As for glass. Meopta Optika 6 5-30X56 in a Spuhr cantilever mount. I reload. Have a lot of brass already. And picked up a thousand Berger VLD 185gr projectiles. Found a deal on bulk gun powder. 8 lbs for $180 delivered. They only have a five round magazines as well. Although they said they are working on a ten round.

    Seams like a great rifle for the money. Took my GL10LA in 300 win mag to the range. It was a blast to shoot. Recoil was not an issue at all. Still working on load development. But one moa at the moment with three to four o’clock ejection. Just loaded up a few hotter rounds. Saw the BCA on sale for $1700 and I bought my Great Lakes for $1050 delivered. But you only get one magazine with mine. And a spare will set you back $100. Also the trigger is your typical mil spec. I bought mine because I want to shoot out to a thousand. And the 300 win mag is one of my favorite cartridges.

    When it comes to heavier recoiling calibers. You have to disconnect your mind from the recoil. Never had much trouble with that. Now in fairness. Heavy recoil isn't for everybody though. And it can induce a flinching issue.

    I’ve been wondering about this thing,, that and the Great Lakes Firearms 300 Win mag for 1000 dollars and you can get some upgrades the factory will do for you… and I gotta be honest man the price seems high for BCA when I can get that Savage 338 Lapua for 1500 yes it’s a bolt action but it’s got a 5 round mag and it’s a 338 lapua

  • @TheHide

    @TheHide

    Ай бұрын

    Yeah I won't lie I think this would fly off the shelves at 12 to 1300 price point. But it does perform well from my testing so I guess the cost is relative to the buyer. With that said I'd really love to try that 300 you mentioned. Sadly they have no interest in working with the channel on a loaner. Appreciate ya watching!!

    @@TheHide Honestly the prices on some of these guns are getting ridiculous.,, we are seeing old SKS prices rise above 600 and into the thousands… we are seeing AK for well over 1000,, and the cost some of these companies are charging for an AR is getting out of hand,,especially for how cheaply you can manufacture some of the parts like the lower and the buffer tube,, and the grip and the stock and the MLok,, mostly the barrel and the BCG are what really matters,, but you can’t tell me a Daniel is worth a 1000 dollars more than a PSA Sabre ,, or the KAC is 1500 dollars more than a BCM… or like the New Beretta 1301 MOD 2 is worth 1800 bucks when the Tube extension is plastic as well as the little MLok tube barrel connector., the stock is polymer as well as the hand guard,, so essentially you paying 2000 dollars for a gas system and a barrel.. and not that I’m against paying money for something that is worth the price., It’s just starting to feel like gouging at this point..thank god Glock has stayed affordable and most importantly reliable..

    All well an good except the 5 round mag cap. Nemo has 14 round mag in the 300 RUM. Bigger cap, bigger round. The days of buying a gun only thinking of hunting are over.

    If you decided on an adjustable gas block check out Aero Precision. It doesn’t have any set screws. Has fifteen setting. Another AR 300 Win Mag company I know uses another gas block. It has five settings. And people complain that there simply isn’t enough adjustment. And there also is another company that uses one that has a set screw. But people complain that they come loose. If I decided to go with a can. I am going to go with one that flows through. Less likely to have to fool with an adjustable gas block. Carbon lock is a pain.
