Lada is the brand of VAZ - Volzhskyi Avtomobilnyi Zavod. ВАЗ Волжский Автомобильный Завод. Some russians with russophobia hate all russian & call it TAZ - ТАЗ. Because in russian "таз" translates as "pelvis". Typical portrait of that TAZ-slang users is a schoolboy with a beer in one hand, bad marks in another & rap musical accompaniment. Саша, ты же Устюгов - чего не понимаешь то?)
