I was invited to a preview before it opened to the public. I have visited several times since and been massively impressed how much it has developed. I even remembered my gran's divi number when I walked into the Co-op!

Steam Galas always seem to happen in the rain. Something to do with all the excess water vapour being pumped into the atmosphere, I think!

Reminds me of the traditional town of Chillingbourne.
The cumulative years of heritage rolling by is astonishing. Must be a few millennia at least. Even the location was well chosen.

On a fairly foggy day, it would be extremely impressive if all the vehicles on display were demonstrated in a parade by drivers dressed in period costumes. one could say that the veils of time will then be lifted. Now that's a great sight
it's getting a sense of the years that have passed, and it's good to live the season.

I love England's green and pleasant land, but sometimes resent the sacrifices we all have to make weatherwise, to achieve that..........

I think it's 3 times a year maybe. Spring, Summer and Autumn.
