The shaking might not have anything to do with being “poked with needles” - it could be a reaction to being removed from a known environment into an alien one. A lot of labs are against the abuse of their test animals, but they can’t be sure whether some staff might just be nasty, a bit like being anywhere in the world outside a lab.

When she said that he got scared when she walked in the room broke my heart. In his mind, a person walking into the room meant that something bad was about to happen to him.😢😢😢 I'm so glad that Reggie learned to trust and love and is now enjoying all the loving cuddles and snuggles with his family. ❤️❤️❤️

We DON'T have to test on them; it's a proven fact that, at this point, animal testing is no longer necessary. But there's money to be made in testing, and when heartless bastards think they can get a piece of that big pharma money, groups like Fauci's NIH apply left and right for "scientific testing" grants and experiments. It's never about the betterment of human health; it's ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY. No animal deserves that life, and no animal lover should ever be silent about their disgust of animal testing or our demand that it END once and for all.

One of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases beagles? “In the NIAID-supported study, twelve dogs were immunized with the experimental vaccine at the Pasteur Institute of Tunis, and then let out in an enclosed open space during the day, during high sandfly season in an area of Tunisia considered to be hyper-endemic for canine leishmaniasis. The goal of the research was to determine if the experimental vaccine prevented the dogs from becoming infected in a natural setting,” the NIAID said in its statement. The NIAID also acknowledged that another leishmaniasis study, which the White Coat Waste Project has written about, was conducted at NIAID laboratories in 2016. The agency’s statement said, “dogs were the necessary animal model for the research, and the researchers ensured that the dogs experienced no discomfort.” In the experiment, eight beagles were intentionally infected to study the transmissibility of leishmania infantum, which causes canine leishmaniasis. The dogs developed skin lesions and were later euthanized."

I adopted a beagle from the Beagle Freedom Project 6 years ago. He is the sweetest, most gentle and loving dog I have ever had in my entire life! Thank you BFP for my adorable "Malibu". I hope that I can love him enough for the rest of his life to in a small way make up for the horror he experienced for his first 5 years locked in a cage. He is Pure Love.

My wife and I rescued a beagle/ blue tick mixed who was born and raised in a lab. It took a while for her to come out of her shell. We were all shocked the first time she barked. She picked me to be her service human. I don't know what i would do without her now. She loves the woods. She see's no walls there so she is very comfortable there. Awesome job young lady.

In my head I imagine that rescue dogs are like a weighing (justice) scale. They start all the way down literally weighed down. With some affection, care and patience they make it back to the middle (equilibrium), but then, after some more time and patience (from these wonderful fosterers) they realise they are safe and loved, have want they need and want and can sleep at night without fear and can look forward to each day of life. And with that the scale has now swung the entire opposite way from where it started, and the world is a slightly better place. Woof!
