My first pup was a Beagle I named Flash (Dukes of Hazzard and Peanuts fan) when I was 5. He got ticks and that led to infection and I lost him just a year later. I still miss him.

Monty Leverett I am so sorry that you lost your fur baby. I have a beagle named Crickett. I knew her name before I got her. She is my dream girl. I had a dream about her and knew that my next beagle was going to be named Crickett. The spelling is not a mistake. I like to be different. She has a BIG sister named Bella. Bella is a rescue and was about 4 to 6 months old. The shelter named her. She is a shepherd/rotty mix and very protective. Beagles are my favorite. I got my first one in 1992 and will always have at least one beagle.

It seems beagles are the breed of dog that never really lose their puppy-ish look.

Yeah because Pomeranians eventually turn white after a while.

He truly didn't start getting playful til that little puppy barked at him, like he was proud that he spoke. That was definitely adorable.

I was 60 years old and my wife wanted a dog. After seeing a breed that was mellow in public I found a breeder with puppies coming and told my wife. Three months later we had the clumsiest furball. Five years later. I've retired and have been walking this big hunting dog all over town for more than two years. We have 1,800 miles walking around town. I'm healthier, my wife gets the house to herself in the morning, and the dog is famous in this small town. I'm gad my wife wanted a dog.

Our 12 week old miniature Jack Russell found his “little voice” last week and it’s quite grating as he shouts about everything, trying to push the boundaries. HELP!!!!!

There's something really sweet about watching puppies learn to socialise with older dogs

@@DS..69 I admit, I prefer dogs to cats. However, if you ever did want to adopt w cat, there is one breed who often has a very dog-like personality: Maine Coon cats. They can often learn to come when you call their name and say "Come." Some enjoy taking walks on a leash (with a harness, not just a neck collar) and love to cuddle and play like most dogs do.♥️🐕🐈 Edit: I'd already commented before I remembered to say -- 😄😄🤣😅👍

What a superb Dad. He never takes his eyes off the pups and is disciplining them constantly but in a very subtle way. Shame more human parents can’t learn this lesson with their own out of control offspring. Gorgeous puppies but that grass needs some water!!!!

To each his/her own. Personally, I prefer a German Shephard provided you have the area to give it plenty of space to move around and live. Second choice is a dachshund, but whatever your choice please provide and take care of it. Thank you for your comment.

While the two pups were wrastling, the poppa just watches them like a hawk. Making sure they were using proper form and not fooling around.

Love em, had beagles growing up and they were the best. Hunted them until they drop and they be waiting to go the next morning. That’s when they are the happiest.

I used to foster five whippet puppies until they were five weeks old, I’ll never forget them, but they were chaos as soon as they could open their eyes.

Beagles are just the most adorable dogs! Would get another in a heartbeat!! Love these loving and just all around awesome dogs!
