I’d really like to make this. I bought the supplies but I am confused at the start. It says you need a 90cm piece and a 320cm piece but it doesn’t say which to use. I think they are both tied at the start? I am confused are we starting at the centre of both pieces or toward one end leaving long piece at other end. It shows one side is longer maybe? But it doesn’t seem to match the length. Please can you explain more? The rest looks like I could follow ok, just want to start it correctly.

Yes I can’t figure out which cord you used first, you need to put as a caption what cord you are using especially for us newbies, it would help a lot.

I'm new to macrame so I'm confused by the two different lengths of cord at the beginning of the video. What is the shorter cord used for? Thank you for this tutorial. :)

The shorter cord is the "carrier" cord. The longer cord is the "working" cord. The carrier is the cord knots are tied around by the working cord, and the carrier also holds the beads. Knotting uses significantly more cord than carrying, so the working cord must be much longer. I hope this helps! The video doesn't explain it at all!

I was wondering just like you wich cord to use because its so unclear and the owner of the channel Nevers awser your questions, so I just took a guess. You have to Start using the small cord as the guide and the long one to make the knots , always use the long one to create the knots, so you dont run out of cord. good luck !

Everytime when I see a beautiful macrame video, but when there's always an important information missing (such as both of different length of string that are used at the beginning, which one is the center, which one is the working string?) . it's quite frustrating....make me wanna make my own version of tutorial, haha, because I know how hard it is to learn macrame from videos, everything has to be clearly shown in the video
