Hello Love: If you breathe that "bead dust" you'll end up unable to breathe - either gemstones or glass. To save your drill bit, drill beads under water which will alleviate the dust and save your drill bit. Also, you should be using a liquid grinding solution to aid in drilling that also extends the life of your drill bit. Please, if you don't use water, you MUST wear a mask to prevent lung disease. Thank you so much for the video. I drill my own bead wholes too because they are always too small.

thanks for posting this! i dont make jewelry, but i am making a few plant wands with beads. the rondelle beads fit over the threaded rod but bead selection is limited and expensive. i bought a bunch of strung beads at joann in anticipation of making holes bigger. i was going to use drill but this will be easier. i have the exact dremel u r using so i appreciated coming across this video.

Thank you for the video making my mom a necklace for her bday and I have a dremel I usually use to polish my crystals. But my beads are too small for my cord and I know she would love these beads I have. I was stuck trying to figure out should I do something else but ima try this instead. Thanks again for sharing.

Hi I was wondering if the dremel bits would work for enlarging holes instead of the ones you got from Harbor Freight.
