Beach volleyball made its Olympic debut at the 1996 Atlanta Games. USA and Brazil shared all the gold medals in the subsequent four editions, except in Sydney where the Australian women's team dominated.

Yeah, it kind of ruins the suspense of the game because you know a half second before whether a point's going to be scored.

You can't set in beach volleyball?

You cant receive a serve with open hands or set the ball over the net and theyre very strict about hand sets being clean coming off the hands. You get 1.5 ball rotations or they call a double
