This song is just incredible on so many levels. Each instrument could stand alone as it’s own gorgeous song. The deep base especially is quite possibly the best baseline I’ve ever heard.

This is the kind of song you turn up to the highest volume physically possible.

This song deserves so many more comments.

Ending lyrics: Chin up Please stay with me Oh, my love Just stay with your girl I’ve played this song at various different speeds. I’ve also downloaded it and isolated the vocals, which finally revealed the lyrics at the end. Play the song at .75x speed to hear this more clearly. The humming in the background at normal speed makes it sound like “cheer up, these days come and go” but it’s actually “chin up, please stay with me.” It’s a conversation between two lovers at the end. - Him: “Was it ever quite enough?” - Her: “Chin up” - Him: “Please stay with me” - Her: “Oh, my love, please stay with your girl” The lover saying “was it ever quite enough?” and “please stay with me” has a woman he is partnered with, but his true love is the woman in the song with whom he cannot be with anymore due to current unfortunate circumstances, or just the sad reality that they are not destined to be together. This is inferred from the earlier lyric “heaven won’t keep us together”, a lyric which could also mean that even if it’s “heaven” when they are alone with another, it’s not enough to keep them together. Imagine the man standing in front of his true love, looking down at the ground, while he asks her: “Was it ever quite enough?” She responds with: “Chin up” (chin up being the common phrase which means to stay cheerful and hopeful during difficult times). CLCHRD Alice was just as much crystal castles as Ethan was. She was instrumental in creating many of the lyrics of my favorite songs. Ethan makes great music yes, but he should have continued under a new name. To replace Alice was a spit in her face.

I left my only love. So she could find better. 4 years and she was crushed to say the least but it crushed me more. I am an addict and that was the reason i would let her down from time to time but she didnt understand. She was my ride or die AND STILL supported me and loved me but i just had to take care of this 13 year old monkey and it broke my heart to realize i chose my first love over her. I still think about her everyday and hope she finds what shes looking for because she is a beacon of love and positivity and only deserves the best. Which unfortunately was not me. She did not understand at first but after a few months she has come to terms with it and while we still are in contact its like talking to a shell of the person i knew for years bc i hurt her so much and she has to put that shield up maybe to not let herself get hurt again. Idk where im going w this.. thank you for being you and i hope u find what you're looking for OP. Love yourself most importantly. ❤
