Reminds me of early 80s horror tracks with heavy use of strings. Yes the uneasy of the changing melody and all are so amazingly superb

This is one of the most interesting chord progressions I have ever heard in pop music. Mind officially blown. Leave it to Beach House. Geniuses.

this has become my fave track on the album now, I can't stop repeating it, the way it just mellows out and transforms

This album is a masterpiece, normally double albums = filler, but it's consistently excellent from start to finish. What a way to round it off with this epic track

I love this album but I think the first part is almost perfect, second part has some of the best songs of the album but it's more inconsistent as a whole

Unsettling, then turns into spacey Pink Floyd at the end. Nice

Wow...this is perhaps their greatest song and I'm not saying that lightly because they have so many good ones just on this album too. Truly haunting, dreamy, and transcendent, then the last half is so somber and beautiful. Extremely poetic lyrics, perhaps the most ever in any of their songs.

The way the start of each verse brings a little relief is so genius... the way the song builds momentum and then totally blisses out... "I reach into the darkness / the universe collects us" the perfect closing statement for the album

The combination of a bad and good dream that’s what this makes me think of

"well, it's cool that they worked in another gothy track, but why would they make it the closer?" "..." "oh." "OH."

God I just wish that ending lasted longer! It leaves me wanting more, I wish it went for like 16 more bars and climaxed in some way

This is the “Last Ride” of 7 Or the “Irene” of “Bloom” or what about the “Days of candy” of “Depression Cherry”... I definitely love every last track of their albums.

I was looking forward to this one as soon as they revealed the track list, something about the title of the track really intrigued me. This is hauntingly good, it’s bittersweet as it is hopeful. Thank you for this phenomenal album.

The best, most talented bands typically aren't. It's just better that way. I can't explain it, though I'm sure there are people out there who understand my sentiment. In a couple decades time when they retire, they'll be widely recognized as one of the greatest bands of all time. That's how it works when your music is truly something special.

Well aside from their Space Song blow up, I’d say they’re definitely not small

They saved the best for last. This is classic Beach House...

The beginning is terrifying. Almost makes me feel nauseous (in a good way?). Killer track.

This whole album is magic, but it is also intentional magick. I can't be convinced otherwise. There's so many principles in the lyrics and symbolisms in the videos. Either way, I'm under your spell and I'm okay with that✨

Sounds like the best impersonation of Air ever (and i mean that as a compliment)

I was very taken with Superstar, Over and Over and this track. The ending is wonderful and does give me classic prog rock feels as it brings to mind what the band Yes did towards the end of “And You and I.” Beach House does something completely their own but gives a nod to music history that makes it relevant to the present day. Appreciating this new release immensely and will give the whole record many more listens!

Putting this song at the end of a 4-LP release is not only clever, but sums up the atmosphere of all the 4 albums previously released. This song is on repeat all day for 3 days now.

won't ever forget hearing this for the first time, it sounds so haunting and i legit got chills the first time it came on as the album was closing

Every song on this album has been incredible but this might just be my favorite of the bunch

my heart unbreaks again in the most beautiful way possible with this one

I was hoping they’d play this too, but I realized Alex can’t play 12-string guitar and slide guitar at the same time which is probably why it hasn’t been on any setlist

A quiet starter but then builds and goes euphoric- fantastic 👌🏼

This is otherwordly and that ending is absolutely stunning, crazy chord progressions on this, the ending somehow reminds me of Pink Floyd

I had amazing moments waiting for the album, each chapter was amazing and all the final songs had an end of album character, this song just surpassed the others for its atmosphere. It was a magical experience and probably no other band could provide it with the same quality. Thanks to the Beach Bums for being able to create a room for these events like a show, every moment was incredible.

True LSD vibe.

This is only the fourth song I've listened to by them but so far the vocals remind me of Blake Hazard who I really love.

What an absolutely gorgeous, epically cinematic stunner of a closing track! It has instantly burrowed itself into my very constitution. In my opinion, "Modern Love Stories" makes it six unquestionably SUBLIME songs from Once Twice Melody. The other five are "Pink Funeral", "Superstar", "ESP", "Masquerade", and the awesome title track itself. REALLY looking forward to finally getting my copy of this Lush Opus of an album! :-)

7 felt to me like they were using tried-and-true formulas from their older projects while experimenting with sound design and a bit with songwriting to find a new direction. Once Twice Melody seems like they struck gold after learning from creating 7 and have decided to shower the whole world with it, manifesting as this beautiful double album.

Wonderful song. And what a incredible album. One of my favorites of Beach House. :')
