People talk about break-ups and losing someone dear, but what hurts the most for me personally is losing one's innocence, looking back on your childhood, who you used to be and who you became. We all live in an ocean of motion the whole universe. Planets around suns, suns around black holes. Very deep lyrics with more then just scientific meanings but also philosophical too

This is my favourite beach house song,like ever.Almost has an angelic and heavenly feel to it,as if you're floating amidst the cosmos.A haunting song about letting go in my opinion(of people,of houses,of cities,of memories,etc),strongly reminding us of the ephemeral and transient nature of everything in our lives.

I love this song, it’s in my top 4 beach house songs and top 30 ever, but I will say, this is the song that I think of the world ending to.

this song came on my stereo right after I found out a great friend of mine was not going to wake up. he had struggled with extreme addiction for as long as I had known him, yet he never had asked for any sympathy, and if you met him you would never have known. had more charisma than famous actors in their prime. he could talk a shirt salesman into buying his shirt. fuckin a, miss u man. rip rov December 17 1987-november 19 2015 won't forget the real shit we talked about when we were awake past 4 am on the regular.

I'm going to draw this.

The intro is what I imagine I'd hear in my final moments alive. It makes me feel broken, yet comfortable with my eventual death. I'm not sure if that's what they were going for here but that's my interpretation of this. I'm also very upset that all 3 NYC dates are sold out already.

This song is the only song I know that puts a paralyzing fear of loss into me, but then gives me the feeling of moving on and being happy. It's surreal to let your mind wander with this song, and terrifying to feel that the one closest to you is gone forever, giving you extreme sadness, then the feeling of moving on and becoming happy. Then you wake back up from the song and see them in the other room. Really makes me constantly tell them I love them, and I spend more time with them than I already do. Because this song some how showed me that time is so precious and limited. So I need to spend it wisely and not galabanting around, but giving them space to I'm not attached to their hip lol.

This song is not only my favorite Beach House song ever, but one of my favorites of all songs. I cannot get enough listening to this song, especially the part starting at the fourth minute. A long deepless and bleak stare, traveling somewhere that you don't know for more than 6 minutes, and then somehow come back relieved. Fuck man, I really miss my dog. He was the gentlest little cloud. You could pull his ears, his tail, you could poke him on the nose and pull his food away from him and all he'd ever do was politely lick you, like he was asking you to please stop. My love for him was deep and pure. I remember the exact moment he stopped breathing and how peaceful he looked. I couldn't believe it then and still I sometimes forget that he's gone. Like when it gets really cold outside I'll start towards the back door because I think he's waiting to be let in, but then I remember that he isn't here anymore. I get nightmares sometimes too, where I know he's dying and I can't stop it from happening. In them, he's usually so enfeebled by old age and disease that he can't even walk, and he's on the cusp of the final transition from the living world into death. I always wake up with an intense longing for his gentle presence. We knew for a while that his time was coming to a close, but it still felt like it came too soon. We weren't ready for it at all. He was my universe and now he's gone.

almost a year ago, a guy sent me this song and told me it was his favorite. I listened to it almost everyday religiously. in my head it was HIS song and I liked him so much or I thought I did. It was my first tims and I was naive and he brought me so much pain to the point that I couldn't listen to this song without weeping out but I kept it on my playlist so I could come and listen to it later and make sure I moved on. and I did but this song still reminds me of him, the way I was on the moon when he hugged and touched me in the cinema during our 1st date, all the pain and joy I felt with him and our last conversation.

The song that reminds me on my own empire that crumbles down and leave no piece left on the dust, right now, it's only snow falling on my hair and me waiting to lose myself inside the white snow.
