Beach Fishing with Worms & Crab

Ойын-сауық

Beach fishing with worm and crab. A double film as Graeme heads to the coast and collects some hardback crabs for bait, then moves to another beach in fabulous weather. It's his 2nd shore trip after lockdown but will it be as successful as his 1st one? You guys know how unpredictable shore fishing can be....He then shows a tough day where he was battling wind and tidal conditions aboard his boat "Hi Sea Drifter" just trying to catch anything off the South coast of England. As usual Graeme tells it as it is.....sit back and enjoy.

Feel you 100% there when you mentioned that people are drawn to you, been trying to go to places now that it's slowly going back to normal and no matter what used to be a secret/disgreet area people wander towards you, congragations followed by entire families. Out of all that area it has to be near you, ridiculous isn't it! Just wanted to say that I'm in the process of getting my first fishing kit, I'm 30 this year so I think it's been well overdue to get this skill in me, been binging a lot of your videos and they've been a fantastic help. Much appreciated! Keep up the good work.

Depending on where you are going fishing, you may not need a lot of tackle. Personally I've got 2 tackle boxes, one for all the big stuff and a smaller one for light tackle. Just have fun.

i know the feeling of having people swim around your line. some free divers swam right over my line middle of the winter and speared a nice Cod and flatfish right over my bait. they obviously saw me on the beach, i blinked my headlamp at them, and they blinked their flashlight back at me and proceeded towards my bait. endlessly frustrating. Very good video as always Graeme.

I feel your pain, genuinely. 99 times out of a 100 when i go fishing I go with my cousin. We're mostly left alone. However, whenever i decide to go out for a few hours by myself, I get people approaching my from everywhere! I get novice fishermen asking for tips, and after I've given them some pointers, they'll set up next to me and prattle on and on. I get people talking about the weather, the government, Brexit, etc etc etc. I'm almost always pleasant to these people, but inside i want to scream. "WHY DON'T YOU JUST F**K OFF AND LEAVE ME IN PEACE?! I'M ALONE FOR A REASON!" Similarly, if I'm looking for a place to fish, and i spot another angler fishing, I'll say hello, ask if they're biting, and then piss off to at least 500 yards away, because I know that they're on their own through choice. Btw, yes, I'm a fully paid up member of the miserable bastard's club.

Can I join the miserable bastards club? Can't bloody stand people coming up to me while I fish. Here in nz for some reason it's old chinese men, they come out of nowhere and stand over your shoulder looking at what you're doing or have caught, they'll only move on if you look visibly mad there they're so close 😂

I won’t stop what I’m doing for ignorant swimmers. Rant over 😂 great video mate as always 👍🏻

Generally Dogfish will snaffle a special bait you may have set out for another species,so they are often maligned. Yes you can eat them. The only bait I have heard them used for is Giant Common Skate as I think the Skate would have them as a standard food source. No,I don't think they would be any good for rubby dubby, not oily enough, but they are often used as bait in crab pots. ( Pencil sharpening film in the schedule)

Just in case you did'n't know (doubtful) you can salt Rag Worm and doing them the right way hardens them and they don't need freezing (see very recent Portsmouth Angler Video.) I hope you have better luck next time. Thanks for posting.

Exactly..it was just nice to get out in the open and try to do something verging on the "normal"..even though the fish didn't join in...They will another day.

I went fishing on bank holiday, there was probably around 20 fisherman at hayling island, not one of us even had a bite. I left most of my baits close to an hour in water

I'm on the isle of wight and a popular fishing spot in Cowes I had to go down 2 hours early just to get a spot, so many people going out fishing now that we're allowed it's crazy, must have been 50 vans and cars packed with rods coming down to see if there's a spot

loooooooooooool I have this carp fishing at some lakes and places I fish, a group or few lads suddenly turn up and bang, have to jump in where im fishing or near me. So annoying, its not miserable its annoying because it can effectively destroy all of your effort and hard work or anticipation and hope in just a few moments.

Understand your frustration with those idiots! You can go to commercial lake and your the only one there and then someone else turns up and sits right opposite you!

You ever think about making a hook rig for a drone and flying it a few hundred yards and then drop it?

Mike has a couple of drones but we rarely use them now. I think its like watching your bank balance fly away every time he sends it up...Constant worry...but they do get good pictures.

@@TAFishing Have him rig your bait, line, and weight to one and haul it out over the water. Connect it to a quick release that you can disengage by tugging the line slightly, so it falls in the water a few hundred yards out. Maybe get a cheap one to try :D

I live in Cardiff and unfortunately I'm severely disabled thus can only go fishing because of that fact. Though due to my personal limits I am not safe to fish alone. This Govts. policies seem more like Martial Law than sensible social distancing rules.
