    that beach fishing is what I do every day the weather lets me in NZ except I use an old Phantom drone to take the baits out. Takes it to the next level. I prefer rockfishing by miles but I'm 64 with health issues and rockfishing is becoming too much for me... done it all my life. Pretty soon the only fishing I'll be doing is watching your videos. You've been my inspiration and motivation since your first youtube video. Thanks mate!

    Yeah sometimes it's unavoidable but at least bring a pair of pliers or better yet don't use barbed hooks if you're not keeping fish or fishing in an area with a lot of for non- edible species. I'm sure a lot of people will scoff at this but back in the day people used to kill everything they caught, especially rays, sharks and other "trash" fish. The only trash in the ocean is from humans.

  • @pakde8002
    @pakde8002 Жыл бұрын

    Just got an opportunity to explain to the missus the difference between ethical catch and release and not so ethical, at least imo anyway. Meaning KZread content creators who only catch and release without any intent to keep fish and still use undersize tackle and barbed or even worse barbed trebel hooks because they're so desperate to upload videos of landing fish. I only watch three or four guys these days because I can't take the hypocrisy of some others who act like they're doing the fish a favor by releasing the fish after torturing it for a video. That's not my understanding of conservation but as long as it's legal I can only refuse to watch their content and make little comments like this. Fishing for the thrill of pulling a fish out of its environment for a photo op is not conservation.

  • @mofomoco

    @mofomoco

    Жыл бұрын

    Torture is torture whether it is barbed or not. If you catch a fish and it isnt too small to eat you NEED TO EAT IT. Fish are way smarter than people give them credit for...until you take care of fish day in and day out you cant understand. I fish. I only fish for food though. You wouldnt tranq a deer just to say you got one but ethically let it go....
