Beach Fishing Blitz + BBQ Cookup

Ойын-сауық

At last a short trip of just a few hours that saw Graeme hang on until the failing light of dusk with a fisherman’s hunch that something might happen..and it was also pure luck that he threw in a light spinning rod and tiny reel just in case he could do a bit of casting with lures. It was a fabulous summer evening and for once the wind had laid down. After spotting some birds working close to the beach he was soon into action and returned all but one of his fish. Next day it was a cook up in the garden. All in all it had turned into a Totally Awesome shore fishing trip….Enjoy!

Graham, followed TA fishing for some time now. You under play your angling ability, your nobody's fool, but you're as mad as a box of spanners. I don't know how age hasn't caught up with you. I'm a serious angling river enthusiast. So thank you for keeping it real and my feet on the ground, with lots of fun. Please keep the irony when talking to camera. Keep posting, stop anglers like me going up their own bottoms with P.B targets. Thanks for keeping it fun.

Of course I had my own pb lists over the years but the older you get the more you realise the only people who thinks its impressive are the captors...Always nice to get a pb

I left the UK a few years ago. Other than family and friends all I miss is the fishing. Not for the size or numbers of fish but that peculiar and particular English way of doing it. Evenings on a shingle beach, tench from a farm pond, trout from a small stream, tackle shops with maggots and worms, old men in green telling you what to do, proper seasons, quill floats, tins of sweetcorn, luncheon meat. I live in the Caribbean now, there are huge tarpon, bonefish, even tuna to be caught from the shore at the end of my road but it's just not the same. Love all you do Graeme.

Your absolutely right about Caught and cooked Mackrell the same day. We did it a few years ago in Dartmouth. My eldest son who was 7 at the time , was watching a senoir angler in action around the marina. He was kind enough to let him have a go, and it made his day when he realed in four decent sized fish. Did exactly what you did, put them in a sandwich bag and stashed in the picnic bag...we were day tippers...Sorced a disposable barbie and ate them when we got back to Paington. My two lads love fish..especially barbie Mackrell. Great viewing.

Always nice to see how you do on a part of the coast I fished a handful of times myself. Memorable for one of those summer evenings when there were explosions of baitfish as the mackerel chased them, sadly too far out to reach.

Another great upload thanks Graham, great venue at Hayling, used to fish eastney but far too busy dog walkers etc, Hayling's a lot quieter. Nice to see a few mackerel about at last, well worth putting one on for a live bait. Thanks again for all the effort you put in fishing and filming well appreciated 👍

The rings are just growth rings and do not represent a year. They can vary based on conditions such as food/nutrients, disturbances like storms, etc. It is not reliable to determine the age of bivalves based on the rings. You can only determine the growth cycles, which are not uniform in time.

It is so good to see you actually ave a good session there. I think that all of your other Chesil Beach videos that I have seen have been blanks or very poor. The mackerel were chasing that Dexter Wedge. A straight spinner? Or did you lace a bit of ragworm onto the Dexter hook?
